I feel like these watches don't live up to their advertising and price. I bought a sapphire flatline from amazon a year ago, for $83 plus shipping, and it felt a bit cheap to me. I ended up never wearing it, and I'm about to sell it. I hate to be that dick who says "I don't like this, so it shouldn't be on massdrop". I just have a feeling the watch is kinda cheaper than it's made out to be. I thought it looked rugged-but-elegant, but it turned out to be not much of either. One thing I have to say: when I got it out of the box last week after 18 months of not wearing it, the time was only 15 seconds off! I hope my opinion doesn't offend anyone.

A friend and I owned Flatlines, briefly. Not the Pro models, the sapphire models. Each of us decided to return, and for the same reason: the seconds hand. It hand avoided all the markers. Some jumps were clearly larger than others. A fair amount of backlash in the gearing, apparently, with a goodly amount of jiggle thrown in. (Which does not exist on the 3 other Momentums I own.) On mine, the seconds hand split the difference at :00 so hacking it precisely wasn't possible. Also, the minute hand was short, so you had to study the dial and interpolate to discover the precise time. I was sad to send it back because it was so nice in other ways. Perfect size. Love the thinness and simple dial. The full-face lume (not offered here) is good, better than their Torpedo, but nowhere near what my Alba (a Seiko brand) cranks out. It's a great watch if the things mentioned above don't bother you.

What a sad choice, it's a really thin, stylish watch, but to choose the mineral crystal over the sapphire when there is only a $40 difference retail! It makes no sense, would be surprised to see someone purchase this over a sapphire version, and we might have had them for $100 on a drop so I am personally really disappointed in this one

I have two Momentum watches that have held up very, very well to almost daily wear, and wouldn't hesitate to buy another (if I needed one).
That said, I'd always go for sapphire crystal unless being worn in high impact activities.
The description here says it's mineral, but I thought this model always had a sapphire.
Also, I'm not sure what this model offers that the Steelix model doesn't (besides style), and that one can be found elsewhere at better prices.

splendicTurns out the "Pro" only has mineral crystal. Seems antithetical to name it that way.
From the Momentum website: Flatline 42 Pro This is the mineral crystal version of our popular Flatline model!

nfetterlyThere's a TON missing from the description, and it's actually pretty annoying given that it leaves out some important stuff. From the Momentum Watches spec sheet on the Flatline series:
- Every watch comes with a scratchproof sapphire crystal NOTE: THE ACTUAL PAGE for the watch says " Mineral Crystal " so I'm not sure which to believe
- Engineered from a block of solid 316L stainless steel
Dimensions: - Large size / Grande Taille Case diameter with crown: 45mm - Case diameter: 42mm - Lug to Lug: 48.95mm - Thickness: 8.5mm - Band Width / Entrecorne: 22mm - Weight (including bracelet): 138 grams
