You’re shelling out some pretty pennies for that raw denim you’re rocking, but there’s something not quite right. Maybe it’s the button finish, or the fit, or maybe the color thread featured throughout Read More
Hey Guys,
We just got a bad news from OriJeans regarding the status of our order. Due to the on going political tension in the region, OriJeans is unable to continue to export products from Ukraine at this time. This is an unexpected problem we could not anticipate, and based on force majeure OriJeans would not be able to deliver our order from the drop.
Regrettably, that means we will have to cancel this order. We have done thousands of drops in the past, and have very rarely cancelled one. However, due to the circumstances we believe that this is the best course of action for this drop.
You should be seeing refund back in your original payment method within the day. If there’s any feedback or concerns, please feel free to email us at support@massdrop.com.
Thanks,
Nelson
Hey Guys,
Just checked with the vendor and production on these has begun. I will keep you posted throughout the fulfillment process.
Expect an update from us on 6/30 or sooner if something comes up.
Hey everyone,
We’ve submitted our order for the Custom Raw Denim Jeans with OriJeans shortly after the drop ended.
Now that the order has been placed, OriJeans will be preparing it for shipment.
The moment we receive confirmation regarding the shipping schedule from OriJeans, we will provide you guys with the updated information.
Cheers!
I have a pair from the Kickstarter. I'm quite happy with the quality of the jeans. They are easily as nice as my APC's or Nudies, which are more expensive. (And last I checked Nudies doesn't really do that much raw denim anymore. My last pair of APCs didn't even use selvedge denim.)
Hi I'm Carlos, co-founder of Orijeans! Couple of comments for the Massdrop community:
Fabrics - as Danielle mentioned the color differential between the Kurabo and Kaihara is very small, both are deep, dark indigo. The difference is in the fabric's "hand" (how it feels), the Kaihara is a 2x1 weave meaning it's a bit looser and cooler and lighter weight. The Kurabo is a 3x1 weave meaning it's a bit denser and heavier, but still ok for warmer temperatures.
Quality - we're a new company and admittedly we did have some quality and fit problems with our first batch, but we've re-worked our patterns and quality control system and we're confident those problems are behind us.
Thanks!
After reading that I was tempted to pull out of this drop, but since they're not custom fitted to our measurements surely they'll just be the fit of normal jeans.
I do not see a 10.5 oz from Kaihara on their website. Is this for the 10 oz from Kaihara or the 10.5 oz from Kuroki? Not that I can pretend to care which mill it came from, but the color difference shown between the two on their site matters to me.
Also, is there no chance for a skinny fit ? I understand if they do not want to use certain materials for the drop, but it should not be that difficult to just cut for a smaller fit? Thanks.
