I am using these as computer speakers. I've put them on Gator clamp-on desk stands. They replace my old AudioEngine A2's (not A2+'s).
To my ear, they are a huge upgrade. Much closer to listening to a legit stereo. I'm very happy.
replicnt6Hey there.
Could you please elaborate further on the comparison you are providing. I have bought AudioEngine A2+ just half a year ago. I am completely satisfied with the audio quality. I am thinking of what my next upgrade could be. Should I be looking in a different price category then, say, $1000+ or are these peachtree audio m24 capable of providing notable upgrade already as far as you can tell?
DoniI'm afraid I didn't do a careful, analytical comparison when I got them. I just set them up and they sounded, well, better. This isn't surprising considering the size difference. I'd been considering getting studio monitors, but these came up on Drop and were generally favorably reviewed, so I gave them a shot. They're basically more like studio monitors than computer speakers. The A2's are very much computer speakers. That said, the A2's were a substantial upgrade from my previous speakers, which I think were Cambridge Soundworks speakers from the 90's or early 00's.
I would recommend reading reviews across the internet to see if this fit your needs. If you've got money to burn, you might look at studio monitors. I was looking at Focals, but ended up finding these totally adequate for my computer listening needs.
