Just speculating, but it seems to me that the angle of a flipped spacebar would only make sense if you tilt your hands upwards when typing, like on a high profile case without wrist support; i.e. might be a good angle for your thumbs to strike, but a a bad angle for your wrists. I always rest both thumbs on the spacebar and it feels more comfortable doing that when resting them from above.
@WhisperingWindsOfShit, damn, that's one gorgeous board! Seriously considering that "bathroom white" case. :D Just a bit worried about QC regarding finish. It's a bit hard to tell from pics, but is it close to a porcelain kinda polish?
Quality is just amazing.. great work... it's very heavy, i like that! But it's green, not blue :/ MASSDROP should calibrate somehow color space :/ same issue with artistan keycaps bubble tea....
Switches sounds much way better with that case. Very smooth and soft. Before I had low profiled aluminium CNC case. (I'm using gateron clear)
Thanks. The sound performace was thing that is allways for me very important factor. I never had wooden case, i'm wondering how different types of wood can change sound.. Revo is heavy pice of metal but sound is not metallic at all.
500plusI am curious about that now also! I bet denser woods would totally change the sound profile of the switches. I really want to try a poly-carbonate plate with a wood case. I bet the harmony of sounds would just amazing!
So I asked MassDrop about the missing screws and feet. And they said they don't have extra so they offered me to replace my order... No idea what that mean...
In general white color is harder to do it right but yours is definitely QC failure...Full refund is probably best for you . Only thing is you will wait for another several month for another case. When will the Tokyo60 drop? Also do you have any idea if Klippe / Fjell will be available again?
energydNot really up to date with all the keyboard news and such, but from what I've heard for the Tokyo60, Klippe, and the Fjell R2 is that they're all coming "soon" lol
Just received mine a couple hours ago and this Earth case is beautiful! Kind of expected it to come in a box but it was just encased in thick styrofoam. Considering the Description said that sticker feet and screws were included and I received neither, I'm a bit disappointed in that and have contacted support regarding this.
Edit: Ok... So, case is still nice and all but I have blemishes on every side of the case except the left side. I also have some coating issues where the aluminum still shows through on the USB port as well as the inside of the case. Despite these blemishes, I don't mind the coating issue around the USB port or the inside the case as I'll rarely get to see it. As for the case blemishes, I know Massdrop can't QC on everything and I understand that, I'll just not expect too much from Revo's QC if I ever end up buying their numpad. Each picture is a different blemish and I will only be able to see the first two pictures in the right lighting as they're on the front face of the case.
Dirty is the exact word to use - I got a pink one and it's similar on the inside, around the logo, usb port, and basically anywhere that there are sharp edges. It looks like the enamel coating wasn't put on thick enough in these areas and the gray aluminum shows through and it just looks dusty.
Damn... I never even noticed that on mine but yeah it's mos def there lol Although the thin coating is mainly in the edges of the inside of the case, it also runs along a good portion of the beveled edge on the case. At first I thought it was just the shine from lighting cause it's so shiny... but yeah no that's definitely aluminum showing through.
MarutkColors are weird, man. And there are so many of them - they confuse me. I mean, just the other day, I saw this color that was red, but, like, not red, you know? It was kinda dark, but also kinda yellow? I dunno man, all I know was it was weird.
" 100-150 all around micron micro-arc protection layer "
Uhh who cares. I just wanted one in black without the pointless extra machining steps on the -inside- of the case... To match the Nautilus renders... These colors were picked straight out of someone's baby shower.
