I think I found a chinese review of this board on youtube. (link with timestamp to unboxing + typing test) from the video, it looks like the board itself has a daughterboard design so I don't think it'll be compatible with a standard 60% PCB. I also found ryloo studio's post on zfrontier. (in Chinese if you want to read it) based on the post, -- it was planned to use a standard 60% pcb but due to the case, the design had to be scrapped because the usb port would be too deep. -- the design is inspired by the m0110, but has a shallower typing angle for better comfort when using it without a wrist rest. -- removed blockers because the designer wasn't a fan of the original m0110's hhkb-esque layout, but they're still an option. -- due to the removed blockers of the original design, there wasn't a spot to put a logo on the top case, so they added a brass inlay weight with "hello" in cursive in the bottom. (I'm pretty sure that regardless of the case style you choose, there should be a weight in the bottom).

Making your own foam is super simple, so I would not worry about that.
Howdy, hope everyone is staying safe during these times and staying indoors! Here are some more pictures of the board in non-studio lighting. I've spoken to the vendor about alps compatibility and because it is not as popular as MX, they've decided to keep the PCB MX for now. Additionally, sourcing keycaps for different layouts that the PCB supports would be tough. I'm inquiring more about the badge for the HHKB top so please hold tight until then. I've attached a reference the vendor sent me for color options -

I would if I could, but unfortunately can't modify dates as they're already in our system. I'll be more mindful about running stuff in conjunction with pay schedules in the future!

SpencerLThanks for the reply, maybe there will be extras, or I just get to save my money. Maybe next time.

I'm gonna try to make a jst compatible daughterboard for this. Should be compatible with plain60-c PCB then. Best alternative for a universal pcb for this board if that works out

I'm it's current form the boardwalk does not have the necessary connector for a daughterboard. Looking at the video i think there might be enough room to run a thin usbc cable through the hole allowing the use of the boardwalk and essentially making a wired keyboard (kind of how like the tkc1800 works). Won't know until it's in hand though

if you are comfortable soldering, you can solder a wire to points on the boardwalk.
8/27 Update: Units have been picked up by Fedex and are on their way over to our warehouse to be fulfilled.

Why bother with a space-saving layout if you're gonna occupy the same desk area of a TKL with those bezels?

HHKB does have some clever aspects like replacing caps with ctrl, but the reason i mentioned HHKB and WKL is that they occupy the exact same amount of desk space as 65% (or TKL, if the WKL is a WKL TKL), but they have blank spots instead of keys that could be mapped to something. For example, I use AHK to map the left Win key to Enter on press, and retain the Win modifier functionality, which I use from time to time. Left Alt I mapped to Del on press, and it retains modifier functionality if I hold it down. Caps I have mapped to open a folder I commonly use, Right Alt and Alt+Right Alt is mapped to open two other of my commonly used folders, etc. To me it makes sense to make the real estate of your keyboard work for you, rather than putting blank spots on the space you're already committing.

sadiqBTW I know I'm getting on my soapbox here - I don't intend any offense to anyone who prefers these layouts. As much as I'm pooping on (my opinion of) the functionality of HHKB for example, I think HHKB layout has one of the best aesthetics out there.

Where is the qmk firmware for this? I don't see it on github. Edit: sent a support request to drop, hopefully they can track down the pcb creator and get those files! The link under the details page under 'QMK programmable' is only for some old qmk flasher.

thanks! I found it after first joining the anykeys discord. It would be awesome if this comes to fruition because then all kinds of pcbs could be used.

rockydbullyeah, i'm hoping these daughterboard designs are standardized so it is easier to get replacements and possibly even save some money, every bit helps in this hobby :)

@SpencerL we got 4 days left till this closes. Can we get some answers on this HHKB layout \ logo issue? I think some people are holding out on this GB till we get more clarification. Cheers
SargentRedbeard@howgii Sorry communication is a bit difficult over the weekend and time zone difference. I'm working to get it clarified and hopefully get you answer by tomorrow.
SargentRedbeardHHKB will NOT have a logo/badge and will have symmetrical 1.5u blockers on each side.

You guys should also sell extra ribbon and USB-C daughterboards as an option as they are proprietary and would be hard to get hold of if they failed. @SpencerL
would you be interested in selling the case and plate in that case?

rockydbullI gave the board to a friend. :)
5/11 Update: Production is underway as cases are being manufactured and weights are being finished up. https://streamable.com/h7yp1f
Unfortunately we already put the order in already so no. Your best bet would be to see if someone would be willing to trade once these start shipping out.
