I bought one of about a month ago. Works good. Person that's not halfway deaf can listen and adjust the actual TV and the other person can adjust the sound on the little receiver. I use regular headphones. You can hit the speech intelligibility button (blue light goes on) and it cuts out a lot of the background noise so you can hear speech better. You can buy additional receivers for other people.
I bought one of these six months ago or so. The included earbuds sound quite good, and the unit has enough juice to drive low impedance full-size headphones like the Sennheiser HD 569. If you are looking for a alternative to bluetooth headphones, this is a good choice.
If you have a BT set and somehow your TV doesn't have BT already built in, Avantree makes a transmitter (among other brands) that is far cheaper on Amazon. Avantree seems to be a quality transmitter compared to other cheaper transmitter on the market. The transmitter doubles as a receiver as well (with rca stereo out).
