Just want to note that this has a $100 rebate. That’s not a very good deal now due to the deal Sennheiser offered after this listing and then lowered the price of the 660S all together. Is it a bad deal? Yes, but it wasn’t when this was posted.

$70 less on amazon and they would be here tomorrow instead of months from now. How the living hell are you still in business?

Just sayin’, you can tell which drops will take months and which drops will ship fast if you see a “ready to ship” icon just above the “add to cart” button. In the details, it says this drop will ship out September 9th. Another thing to note, drop is giving $80 worth of store credit with this, also there is interest-free financing with Affirm if you want to spread out costs. All authorized dealers for Sennheiser are required to have the same MAP price. The MAP does shift with things like back to school promotions and such, though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But hey, as long as it’s a trustworthy dealer, Sennheiser doesn’t mind where you buy their product. If you consider all the factors and somewhere else makes more sense for you, more power to you! Someday I’m going to order something with Drone delivery, just to watch it (and watch it dodge the trees around my house, lol).

These headphones are $400 on Amazon w/ FREE One-Day Prime shipping. The Sennheiser Outlet Official store on Amazon has them like-new for $350. $500 with a three week wait makes this Drop completely pointless... unless you want to pay full retail price and get $50 off a future Drop purchase.

I have the 660s. And one of my close friends owns a 58x. When we meet 2 months ago, we find out that these two sound very similar on a balanced 4.4mm cable. We tested with his SMSL Sanskrit 10th and Zen Can amp. I guess if you do not want the huge Sennheiser logo, 58x + balanced cable is a better purchase.

so it's same price as on Amazon ($400) but you have to pay for shipping
and you have to wait for 2 months?

I tried these at one point when they were on sale on sennheiser's site not a fan at all they have less soundstage than a 6xx with hybrid dekoni pads and sound wise are less enjoyable for music

Just picked one up for $280 after the student discount from Sennheiser. They are a good reference pair to have around. I wouldn't pick them up to listen to music over something else I own, but that is because they are "only" a $500 headphone. It is a great palate cleanser to put on when I feel I'm not admiring my higher end stuff as much. It is a genuinely good headphone though I'd probably lean towards a Sundara if this was my first headphone or an upgrade to something.

Love the idea of having a palette cleanser so you will appreciate the higher end stuff!

Thanks, It is actually very useful especially considering their tuning as well! I also use them for sim racing because they are so light and I don't have to worry so much with them. I wouldn't spend $500, but used market for these is fantastic.

I love the HD660s, Not a fan of the HD6XX, Personal taste nothing more. But I'd get the HE-5XX over both if you have a decent set up.
