Careful-Buyer Beware of MassDrop. I ordered 2 of these cables which do not work with any of my Apple devices and they refuse to let me return them (for refund, credit, something I can use). Their response to me was quite insulting telling me it is my fault for not researching their Customers Discussion page to find out they won't work with Apple. I purchased 6 expensive cords total with this order and that is how they chose to treat me.
Yeh I think your problem isn't the cables but that you are foolish enough to get yourself involved in vendor lock in. Problem resides between the phone and the chair you are sitting in.
I was totally going to get the coiled cables until i looked at the pictures. Not sure why anyone would want a extra 1-2 feet of cable before the coil. It should be more like 1-2 inches. Is there anyway to customize these?
RedwolfxdBoth are durable, but the techflex is better for longevity. The paracord could start to fray sooner than the techflex, but again, pretty much the same in most conditions.
To translate, why don't you try matching the cable to the case rather than the keycaps? As you can see the first picture looks much better than the bottom.
I don't see how the shipping is so high on these. The US shipping is about right, but I can ship almost anywhere internationally for usually under $4.50, so I don't see why their shipping is so much more just for a 6ft cable, which also seems to be pretty overpriced.
Item us 17 usd.. Shipping is 13 usd... for a cable...? Come on Massdrop. Doesn't feel like there's much deals to be made here for International users. :(
pocketsunNo deal at all here for me even in the US. I can even get larger coiled cables for better pricing and faster turn around with a much wider selection.
sammaher1Techflex is a fairly stiff weave of PET that is somewhat seethrough, can expand, and is pretty much only available in solid colors. Paracord is a softer and more flexible weave of either nylon or polyester fibers, completely blocks out the colors from underneath, has minimal expansion, and is available in a variety of solid colors and intricate patterns. Out of the polyester or nylon cord, I prefer the nylon for my cables since it tends to be more flexible and sleeve more easily, although many of the weirder/cooler patterns are polyester only since it's cheaper.
