Super High Quality
Amazing Quality - the strap, the finish, the look. Gives me a Military Feel while also seeming Futuristic or Spacey. It seems heavy when you first pick it up, but you don't feel it when you put it on. I never thought I'd own a quarts watch. This was overly worth the money. I want to give everyone one of these. It is really unique. Amazing work SLD. I will be looking out for your next Timepiece.

3.5 Stars (round to 4) - A few flaws distract from an otherwise good design
Since I have a copious number of each of the ubiquitous watch themes (bezel-adorned diver, field watch, racing chronograph) I went ahead and took a gamble on this unique design. The most obvious benefit of this watch is the lug design - the lugs are part of a "carriage" underneath the watch case proper, so that when you thread a watch through the NATO strap remains straight. This results in a lot of shorter-length NATO straps wear as if they were longer. The spherical crystal is very nice and has subtle under-surface printing of the watch name. The assembly is well done and there is no annoying "greasy fog" under the crystal that you sometimes see on cheaper watches. The strap provided is of solid construction, with secured keepers, and of good thickness. The hardware is a muted bronze that matches the case well. The strap is a little on the short side, measuring slightly over 10 inches (252mm) when most common NATO straps are closer to 11 inches. My real sticking point is the crown, which is placed at the 12 o'clock position a la "bullhead" design, is hard to pull out to set the time. There is no knurling or groove to allow easy gripping of the crown, and it is inset into the case so that a fingernail can't get under it from the front. The rear is obscured by the lug bridge so in the end you may need to use a utensil to open the crown. This is a major usability issue. While the form was designed to accommodate the function of a NATO strap being used without barrier, the crown design flaw impacts its form/function equation significantly. Watch visibility also could be improved. There is no reason a dark colored lume material could not have been painted on the hands to improve it (see: Xeric Halograph) without affecting the muted dial/hand coordination. The dial is well embossed and crisp, and features some nice touches (the tail of the seconds hand matches the 5-minute indicies, for example). The PVD bronze coating of the case is well done, however the case color does not quite match the lug-carriage color (which is more golden). I'm unsure if this is by design or chance. While I enjoy the design and style of this watch, its issues with usability (the crown for example) that placed form over function reduces my ability to recommend this watch (apologies to the designer on this, I really wanted to be able to recommend this one). I did reach out to the designer about this concern so will see if there is a "v.1.1 or 2.0" that may be more endorseable.

Really nice, but disappointing combinations
Great & unique look! A real jewel for men. Quite heavy for my mid sized wrist, but not uncomfortable. I dislike the free ending of the Nato strap, not clear and looks like a cheap nylon. I almost give 3.5 stars because, in my bronze version, you can notice a different color between the stand and the case colors. I really love the facing look, particularly in the center. The hands are beautifully designed. The rounded glass is a part of my attraction to this piece of artwork.

Loved it before the glass cracked
The first time I wore the watch, I heard a crack sound. I had the watch on my wrist all of 5 minutes. Now it is back in its case, unusable. I did not bump or hit the crystal. Sounded like a pressure crack. The crack went all across the surface of the glass. I have made several attempts to email some semblance of Drop support without any response. My goal is to get the watch repaired if possible. It is a good looking timepiece without the crack. A response from Drop support would be appreciated, however that might not be possible.

SylvDropJust as I mentioned in the review, I had the watch on for about 5 minutes the first time I wore it, heard a crack and looked at the watch, saw the crack across the crystal. I would like to get it repaired if possible. Please let me know how I can get this done. Thank you so much for your reply. If it needs to be shipped, let me know where.
