The sleeving and shrink wrap seem to be of high quality, fits my vortex3 slim, looks good, if you have to have a wired keyboard, get a decent looking cable. It's very long. making it possibile to route the cable and not be held hostage by a short keyboard cable tethered to your computer. After several months, I've had no issues so far.
The quality of this cable is great, as are the aesthetics, and I had no issue using it with a couple different keyboards. However, it would intermittently have issues with the Bakeneko65 PCB from CannonKeys, and I would need to unplug and replug it back in. Eventually the easiest solution was just to use another USB cable for the Bakeneko, I don't think it's power hungry with RGB or anything and this cable doesn't seem too long but it just wasn't working properly for that board in specific.
tiovieroHey tioviero,
Glad that you think the quality of the aesthetics is great, but we would love to make you think the entirety of the cable is great!
You shouldn't be having any sort of intermittent issues with your keyboard, if this is the case, please feel free to reach out to our support staff through our website and we can get you helped out.
If you want a Space Cable, buy it from them directly, where at least you'll be covered by a warranty. Mine stopped working almost exactly a year from when I received it, and Drop is just shrugging and telling me it's not their problem. (Space Cables, to their credit, is saying they'll repair it even though I bought it through Drop, but I have to cover shipping.)
I don't know if all these cables have longevity issues, but I've literally never had even a cheap cable fail like this, so it's ridiculous for a $65 one to turn into so much trash after less than 13 months of normal usage with no visible wear or damage. If Drop is going to sell them without a warranty, don't waste your money.
Nah, you guys totally helped me out! Everything has been working fine since it got returned repaired. I'm happy with the service from you—just not Drop's end of it.
