Update: Just a few month later the Crack on the headband has cracked even further and now my CB-1 have now reside to being backup headphones. I stand by them sounding great for the price, but build quality is a huge letdown Been using these for 2.5 years now and for the price they're worth it (in terms of sound). However, some things to note: -It's all plastic with maybe a bit of metal on the cups. That's not neccessarily a bad thing but on mine the plastic in the slider has started to crack. -Status has had a history of not being completely honest. I cannot tell if this is still true, but they claimed that instead of spending money on advertising, they spent money on R&D to make great sounding headphones. What they actually did was rebrand some ChiFi headphones. That's not neccessarily a bad thing as there are many great ChiFi headphones and you get real customer support from Status. I have not been able to determine if the CB-1 are rebranded headphones. My Status Audio HD One and HD2 have both snapped (twice each). This was apparently a very widespread problem which prompted the HD2 to be discontinued rather quickly. That being said, Status has covered me for every single replacement. You won't get that kind of support if you buy their ChiFi counterpart.

LD_TypeI don't know man, great customer service and honestly I haven't seen any headset like this. So I really do think they created it. I think it sounds great for the price and mine is about 8 months old and still rocking. Yeah it's really plasticky and cheap feeling but comfortable and sounds great. I gotta say, I think it's a buy all day.

piedrafriaThis is a bit late of a reply, but I found the original headphones. They're called the Somic MM163 and if you look them up you'll see it is the same headphones just with branding.
