Instead of taking up precious budget and space with an unnecessary speaker system, stay small and achieve huge sound with the HiVi M10 Multimedia Speaker System Read More
I would not buy these off mass drop because you will end up with customs fees. Then mass drop customer service will never do anything about it Even if you can easily drop several bills a week. ***buyer beware***. If you buy this you will pay more in customs charges over the overpriced face value. If you want a good deal you should go on Amazon and get it with free shipping and no customs issues. you're welcome.
Thanks for the idea I've gone ahead and thumbed up thanks to your suggestion.. It was Bansaku who thumbed up. Probably because they found cheaper options due to my awarenss of Massdrop being a racket. ***buyer beware*** you worked hard for your money don't shop here!
SokoThis is a N. American drop for 120v/60Hz units. There are no custom's fees for US customers.

I bought these a while back and these systems were being manufactured with a known defect for a while. There can be a persistent hum from the speakers that doesn't go away. Dealing with HiVi to get it fixed is next to impossible because they have zero functional customer service in the states. The company I bought them from Audio Insider was the only dealer in the US at the time (3 years ago or so) and he "repaired" them by not doing anything and just sent them back. It took several times of sending them back and forth before he actually upgraded the internal components and fixed the hum. Super shady dealer (he's since changed his name to Chane Music Cinema but it's still him) and HiVi wasn't much better in dealing with them.
Great job on the brochure paraphrasing, but I definitely had nothing but an abysmal experience with Audio Insider now Chane Music & Cinema. Eventually, after the third round trip and the actual internal component replace these speakers sounded great. Unfortunately it was a really unnecessarily difficult road to get there because you refused to acknowledge the flaw in the speaker initially, then claimed falsely that you repaired it. These speakers can be pretty good but definitely beware if you have any issues like the common one of the background hum in these speakers because Audio Insider and Chane are not to be trusted.
Thanks, you probably made them fix it for future customers. If more people took on the hassle of returning defective low price items, then qc would generally be better for all.
Take it from me: You will not enjoy having to crawl under your desk to reach for the volume knob in short order. That control SHOULD be the Sub level control (which is hidden around back of the sub). The 'engineer' who designed this should go back to working at Wal-Mart as a greeter.
Nothing against the person that made these but I agree that the volume control should be on one of the two speakers not the sub, if you put the sub on the floor or desk it's going to be out of reach either way I couldn't see having the sub on the desk especially close enough to reach it but the setup looks decent in pictures and is very cheap so sacrifices have to be made and I'd rather it not be in sq, I'm not interested in this but not because of the volume placement that could be solved with a preamp
I can wait but it would be nice if we could get expedited shipping, a partial refund on shipping costs, or discounted international/free shipping CONUS on our next Massdop purchase due to the unexpectedly long wait.
WillAlways interesting to learn of new things, but for some reason this feels a bit more like marketing to me. Guess I'm not part of their target market if I didn't catch it in the first place!
If their FTN account manager was worth anything they would have routed it to Vancouver or New York. I've been doing this for months now to avoid this exact problem and I get multiple containers a week. Maesrk isn't even shipping to the west coast anymore. Mostly COSCO vessels trying to go in.
Best part about this is watching these babies lose their minds over computer speakers. It's not life saving medicine for your kid it's low tier speakers that you tried to get on the cheap.
liluglymaneSpeakers people paid MONEY for. Granted you shouldn't be buying speakers if you cannot afford medicine but these speakers easily double the cost of my monthly medications.
I think people have every right to be upset about mishandling of their hard earned cash. These are equivalent to two days paid work for me. Would you be upset if two day of hard earned work was mishandled by a company you are purchasing from?
Thank you for your opinion on how they could have solved the problem. No thank you for calling a community babies because they are venting frustration on a situation out of their control.
I would prefer this feedback from my customers no matter what.
Hi Folks,
This Drop is sponsored by Chane Music & Cinema. I've been Swan's authorized North American importer, distributor - and in some cases design partner - for over ten years.
We're happy to support MassDrop, and look forward to doing more on the platform. Let us know what you think and how we can serve you. Thanks for being aboard!
JonLaneHey Jon, I just replied on this thread for other users, but wanted to give you a heads up. Looks like these aren't properly shielded, mine are picking up a radio station and I don't own an antenna of any kind.
We spoke with the vendor earlier today and we were informed that the labor dispute at the port is still affecting the entire shipment schedule for this order.
The container carrying the shipment did arrive on 2/3/2015 as we were previously informed but due to port congestion and labor negotiations vessel has not docked into terminal for offloading. As of today, there is 15-20 vessels arrived into Oakland awaiting to be docks and containers to discharge on vessel. The vessels are averaging a 2-3 weeks minimum upon arrival for vessel and container to become available. Unfortunately, this is affecting everyone who is importing good through US West Coast Ports.
We were given a tentative fulfillment time frame of the week of 2/23 in the meantime based on what we are given right now.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 2/19 or sooner.
According to my tracking number there has been zero progress with moving the units. Last update was 1/21 when the shipping label was created... "Order Processed: Ready for UPS".
I went with an alternately branded version of the first link. Was able to save about $15-20 by doing that. Should be getting the speakers today.
Appreciate your comment. Thanks.
Massdrop shipped to my old address, and has ignored all support requests about the issue. Going to open up a dispute with my CC to get my money back, and don't plan on ordering from Massdrop anymore.
Strangelove@Strangelove I could see how you'd gather that from my original comment. My frustration stemmed not so much from the misdirected package as it did from Massdrop's inability to respond to support requests in a timely manner. It took four days before my request was even replied to. This is where my lack of faith in ordering future items comes from. Cheers.
