I got one too. It seems entirely identical to the vapur ones (but it's .7L). The price on those has gone up a fair bit, probably because the secret's out now (same thing happened with the big agnes clone tents). You can get a 3 pack for 8.95 with free shipping, though. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-x-Light-Sport-Water-Bottle-Flexible-Collapsible-Foldable-Reusable-Outdoor-0-7L/253572607369?hash=item3b0a1aed89:g:vQcAAOSwfxFbh8yO:rk:14:pf:0

GuyPortalThose are counterfeit version from eBay-ina! "Ah, eBay-ina, if you're listening, MD would appreciate it if you would stop selling their stuff for a lot less money. I think MD would reward you mightily if you'd, you know, knock it off..."

According to Wirecutter and Cnet's Tim Steven this water bottle can leak when lateral torsion is applied.

MikeDoesntKnowThat is the old cap in the video that had the leaking issue (under certain circumstances). The cap has been improved and is now much better. I've confirmed with the vendor that this drop is for the bottles with the new cap. @MikeDoesntKnow @LadyRott @ppfd

Got in on the last drop for the Vapur Water 2 pack and have now used them several times. I'm impressed. I have partially frozen an almost full bottle and completely frozen one without any damage. Here the pros and cons I have experienced:
PRO: 1. They stand up well even on uneven surfaces like grass. 2. The screw on top is completely water tight, no leaks. 3. The capability to roll up the bottle and secure it with the d-ring makes for a compact, light and portable storage solution. 4. Kids intuitively know how to use it, probably because of all the juice packs they have consumed. 5. Because it is flexible it can be shaped to fit in may different holders in cars and chairs and sits snugly.
CON: 1. It sweats with cold liquids but so would any uninsulated container. 2. The plastic carabiner seems too flimsy to really trust with a full bottle. It has not broke but time will tell. 3. The material is really tough but I'm not sure it would withstand a sharp object like falling on a rock. 4. It takes a really long time to completely dry the inside of the bottle. It was almost two days before all moisture was gone.
Bottom line: It is a useful water bottle for use around town or camping and as a space saving back up. I found myself handling the bottle carefully because it just felt a little bit flimsy. Based on other reviews that probablyis not the case but I would be reluctant to use it as my only source of water carry while backpacking or other extreme situations. For the tough stuff I would still turn to my trusted Nalgene bottles some of which have served well for more than 20 years. That said, I would buy them again.

According to this tweet from Vapur to CNet.s Tim Steven..it seems like they have redesigned the new cap? Can someone from MassDrop confirm if these are the new caps?

I've been using them for almost two months, so far really pleased. Easily to roll and packs really small when empty. Really convenient to go through airport security and fill just before boarding. No leaks, no weird taste.

yoooI need to update my review, while it's been working great for another couple months a small leak appeared and well that sucks haha. if it really has less than a year in it (with using it once a week) this is not great..

In the winter I often use my flexible Nalgene wide mouth cantene as a hot water bottle for added warmth in my hammock. Can the Vapur hold boiling water?
What makes these better than the Nalgene Wide Mouth Cantene? http://www.amazon.com/Nalgene-Wide-Mouth-Cantene/dp/B004RYZQWC

toferjPer the Mfg. Website: The Vapur bottles are strong enough to withstand boiling liquids. However the bottles are not insulated so they will be hot to the touch. We recommend holding the bottle with a towel around it until it has significantly cooled down.
I like the crushable bottles as they are easier to pack when empty, but I have used Nalgenes with no problems for years. I think it's personal preference.

I just want to point out, that if you try to poor a 1.75 liter bottle of...say...vodka, into a 1.5 liter Vapur Water Bottle, it won't all fit.

You know...just pointing that out.

What are these like to clean and dry? Unfortunately, I have a bad habit of leaving water bottles in my car (with varying amounts of water in them) for days. My current bottle is metal, so I can bleach it no problem if mold/mildew has shown up. I assume there's nothing in these bottles that would react to bleach, but I just wanna make sure. Also, can they go in the dishwasher?

Dr.McCoyI washed the ones I picked up in the previous drop with soap and water. They are listed as dishwasher safe ( https://vapur.us/answers-features-and-care ). I'm not sure I would use bleach without contacting them. You could always use white vinegar (acetic acid) as it is a cheap and green alternative disinfectant.
