SimmsyWell it already comes as qwerty. If you want a different layout you just buy the cherry key caps in that layout from any retailer like wasd and then change the layout style in your OS
Simmsythen you are pretty much out of luck you are probably going to have to build the board from scratch getting a set of switches and a bluetooth 4.0 controller like this one from adafruit. https://www.adafruit.com/products/2829
SimmsyThat "Bluetooth thing" is a nrf51822 module (really well soldered), it needs JTAG-compatible adapter to program, the firmware is totally closed source and it's the only controller on the board - remove it and the whole thing is dead.
Edit: oh sorry, I thought you were talking about the varmilo electronics. Regarding Adafruit module (https://www.adafruit.com/products/2829) - it seems fine (3.3v, built-in HID profile, 20 GPIO pins - enough for 10x10 array, 'all-in-one' Arduino-compatible + Bluetooth Low Energy with built in USB and battery charging for $29.95, you will spend about the same trying to put together separate modules). Plus, unlike VB87M it could work via USB interface (VB87M is Bluetooth only, USB is just for charging).
