SpectralBaconSDAC is great DAC but the CTH is one of the noisiest amps you'll get. It's noise level is so high that its actual SNR is -78 dB and not the -97 dB as advertised.

junkiSo you would say the CTH DAC/amp over this??? I’m just using some akg K712 pros... not hard to drive but I would like a hybrid or a tube amp... Ive heard they take really well to a tube and I like the idea of the hybrid tube

JaggiHonestly I wasn’t paying much attention to “noise” at the time I was interpreting it as how loud this thing could get and not the correct definition of noise in this case.... but yeah I get it I didn’t read into it like I should and ignored the SNR portion. He mentioned the DACs I was comparing so I threw a question out and glazed over it And I glazed over it. No need to be rude though. A simple correction would suffice but thank you for the correction
