This will come as a shock, but I’m actually going to recommend this watch, with some specific caveats. While it’s an American company, a lot of the construction is done in China. However, they’ve been pretty thorough in detailing what is made where, by whom, and for how long. I appreciate that. You do technically get a Swiss movement as the movement that drives the hand is a Ronda movement. They’ve also accomplished some impressive engineering here. It’s something that probably appeals more to the mechanical keyboards guys or amp guys than us watch folk. While you get can all of these features online with your smart phone and most of the features in some other computer watches (suunto, for example) this really does have the full kit of horological data. They’ve also clearly spelled out warranty and repairs, expected life of the batteries, what to do and not to do to extend the life of the watch, and even have clear instructions on what to do if you want to repair it yourself or take it to a watchmaker. I appreciate that. Finally, to me this is the type of quartz watch to get. For me, quartz needs to be one or more of a few things to get me interested. Super tough & indestructible (g-shock) Super accurate (citizen One, etc) Feature packed beyond what any mechanical watch could ever offer. This watch nails the last 2 points, and with a titanium case and 100m of wr, does enough of the first. I’m thinking of picking one of these up directly from Yes as I’d want to pick up a few extra bezels (they’re interchangeable) and I’d rather get an oyster link style bracelet. This is the type of watch where the $700 you spend on it you’ll never get back, but if you go into it aware of that fact it shouldn’t bother you. TLDR - Nice piece of nerdy horological kit from a seemingly decent and nerdy company. Worth it to spend a few minutes checking out their website.

WatchyoutalkingaboutNerdy huh? Yeah, I guess that is where it ended up, even though it started out on a wonderment of life and time level. Couldn't really buy anything off the shelf to build it, had to be engineered from scratch. The wing clipping required to manifest a top quality product is ruthless, but the V7 is in the box. Very proud of the work we have done. Cheers!

All kinds of stupid for watch enthusiasts!! But for tech. heads maybe. A smarter than smart ,smartwatch!! try saying that after 10 beers!! Not for me and I suspect many others. Especially for $1000 aud . / $700 usd. a lot of dollars for what might be a toy or gimmick.

Thanks for your reply. There is no doubt that this piece of highly technical engineering should be recognised, and receive the accolades it deserves. Especially as it is all genuine and has no plagiarised component. If I needed the ability of this watch for work or play it surely would be a consideration. I think many watch addicts/fans just still like watches that look like watches. But all respect to invent and manufacture such an instrument in no mean feat. Due respects to you.
JAoneThank you. I came at it as a complete rookie. It has been the most fascinating journey into the history of time keeping and what our forefathers of time went through. Keeping time was one of the very original mysteries. When to meet. When to sow. When to pray. I am just delighted that the V7 is in the box. Working like it should. In manufacturing only quality counts, everything else comes second. Cheers!

Just the ticket for Druids, Vampires and commercial fisherman. If it came with a Netflix subscription--and I could adjust to watching movies on a round screen--I might be tempted. Otherwise, as a wiseman once said: "Life is too short to wear ugly watches, but if you insist on doing so, there's no need to pay seven hundred bones for the privilege"

yeswatchI can tell this is a product made by engineers who really enjoy what they do. Don’t take any of our comments to heart too much, as we all like to take the piss out of every product on here. Some information that may be of interest to the members on here would be: Typical cost of a service (battery exchange) if the watch is sent to you? Can customers purchase individual bezels from you separately? Roughly how much does the watch on full bracelet way? (For those reading, most of your standard divers weigh in about 150 grams)
WatchyoutalkingaboutNo worries, I don't, I have crashed Benzes and marriages, this is peanuts. :-) You're gonna be hard pressed to find anybody who takes time keeping more seriously than we do. The custom made rechargeable battery will last for about 3 months on a full night of charging. It is estimated to last for 5 years plus. Time will tell. Batteries are a whole science to themselves. Thy are attached via an internal plug. We'll charge $39 for a battery replacement. Yes, bezels, straps and bracelets can be purchased separately. https://www.yeswatch.com/wrist-watch/worldwatch/worldwatchV7-accessories.html?id=AuLnAqBe

The watch compassionates rank watches on technology applied. It ranges from the most magnificent mechanical, to a five dollar quartz. They will both take you to the  goal of hours, minutes and seconds. So our timekeepers move that goal to include natural time, the cycles of the sun and the moon. The essential rhythms of time. To me it just makes total sense. Plan time with greater confidence no matter what you are about to do. Neither mechanicals nor quartz can capture and reflect this information. Chip technology in one form or another must be applied. The V7 is a freestanding time machine that gives you all this info at a glance. Always on, no swiping or app required. Big brother can’t follow. It is your time. I call our movement a 24-Hour Solunar Movement, there is nothing else like it. Custom built from scratch. It has the smallest Swiss Ronda servo-driven quartz analog hand movement slowed to 24 hours. Chip programming calculates the time data based on NASA astronomical algorithms. The LCD updates every midnight to show the time data for your location. The master quartz will run to plus/minus 0.5 seconds a month.  That the V7 gets just about 3 months of battery life on a full night of charging is awesome. Sun and moon data changes daily. We do the calculations at midnight. Independent of any signal, atomic or otherwise. The unique software time trim will run the master quartz to plus/minus 0.5 seconds a month. LCD=Liquid Crystal Display is the unique screen that shows the daily cycles.

The live LCD consist of 1094 segments which allows for a very accurate rendering of the digits and the sun and moon cycles.

I own 2 previous models. It's a remarkable timepiece. Visually, it shows sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset, twilights, moon phase and time in one glance. It has alarms and countdown timers. It has a compass! It has hundreds of world cities built in with the ability to keep time in multiple destinations. This is a brilliantly created watch and it works like a dream. Rechargeable! I've never regretted the price, as there's nothing like it anywhere.

Hi, what’s the tech specs on the tritium tubes? i.e T25, T100? Thanks
RHPICAYUNET100 24+1 tube on 24-hour dial and hand.
We ditched the EU LUME version. EU has tricky import rules regarding tubes. They will only allow mass importation of T25 watches, but singular shipments of T100 are ok. You want the T100 for readability, no doubt about that.

Definitely too big for my wrists but if you guys make something in a 38 or 39mm I'd be interested just because of the engineering behind this. Pretty cool design!
Thank you. You're gonna love the time information it brings to your wrist. If you ask me, now is the time. Cheers. :-))
The_EnquirerPut it on a silicon strap and you'll be surprised. If you wear a watch for time keeping the added size will by far be outweighed by the information it offers.

How resistant are the electronics to the environment; such as humidity, moisture, heat, and cold? Not speaking of using it in extreme conditions but typical day to day in those environments. Understandably the battery's charge would be affected by those environments. Thanks again.
cbsbyteVery resistant.. Water resistant to 10 ATM. While worn on the wrist, temperature is not really an issue. By accident I did leave my watch in blaring hit sunshine once, but it didn't affect it. I'd certainly store it dry in room temperature. The key is NOT to use the buttons while submerged or in contact with water. For that brief push the double o-ring seal can be compromised and the capillary effect will suck water in, especially if you are underwater.. This is the case with all watch buttons, not just ours.
