Obviously everyone at Massdrop was blown away by the D100 MKII but you don't have to take our word for it; reviewers have been shouting praise since it's release. Here's what some folks on head-fi are saying:
"Impressive, and enough to keep my strongest recommendation for a DAC in the $500 range." - Project86
"For $450 this is an absolutely marvelous piece of equipment, whether you'll be using it as a DAC or a DAC/Amp" - Monir
Do some googling if you're feeling skeptical, you'll find more reviews saying the exact same thing Read More
I had the original version of this unit, the D100 (without the MkII). I've used it steadily for years and was very happy with it. The only problem I've encountered is that Yulong, as far as I can see, does not support their equipment in the United States. My unit stopped working a few weeks ago. When I would turn it on it would tell me "Loading" and then finally "No signal". I don't think there is anything mechanically wrong with it, I suspect the problem is with the drivers or some other problem residing in my computer. I'm still searching and trying to find someone in the US to consult with. In any case, while I highly recommend Yulong equipment, it does come with this not inconsiderable drawback. Dorian

I apologize for this incredible noob question. I have a Xonar Xense soundcard/amp and Westone 4R's, Denon AH-D600 and Shure SRH-940. Is the function of this product to replace my Xonar with something of higher quality, has anyone else made the jump from an amplified sound card? Would my headphones benefit from this?
