These are some well built shouters. The sound is good, fun with colors. I am no audiophile but I can tell that these are no reference earphones. Would give it 5 stars but the cable is not replaceable.
Are these the best IEM out there? No, however I feel you'll definitely get your money out of them.
I've been using them for the past 2 weeks on various source and I can now gladly say that the rattling noise has disappeared, it showed itself when it comes to specific "in-between-driver frequencies" In guessing they just needed some burn in so safe to say that has gone away. I am also using the hiliDAC to power them which has helped as well https://drop.com/buy/hilidac-audirect-atom-pro-portable-dac-amp/reviews#reviews Definitely recommend that too for a portable/cheap solution. I am curious how well these will hold up but ill update this if any issue arises.
PS the grills on this thing are huge so if you have small ear canal's it might be a challenge, personally its hard for me to wear them for over an hour without needing to take them off even with the given tips. but i still think they are worth it.
Got these after I lost my 1more triples. Amazing sound. These fell out of my pocket last year. I found them but someone had run over them. Too bad for me. Have switched to EDC3. I might buy them again if they are available. Like the EDC3 fit better though.
For the price it's not a bad deal, but it's nowhere near neutral in terms of how it sounds. Bass is overwhelming and muddy, mid and dynamic are where this IEM really needs to work on. Personally I would prefer better resolution rather than focusing on this "booming" bass.
to me the bass was bloated and muddy, I think less quantity would help given the same resolution(why amplify your weakness?) I’m just not buying the tuning is all. In terms of choice of music I listened to a lot of different genres, I love classic, light pop, and some electronics. I know when I heard a “boomy” sound, because they are just not my type
I really enjoy these earphones. They have become my go to IEMs when I use wired phones. They are comfortable to wear, especially with comply foam tips. I like the sound balance, plenty of bass without the thumping I hear from other phones. The Mids and highs are good, but not exceptional. I am very happy with my purchase.
Terrific sound for the price. Throw away the stock tips! Get comply foam tips, burn in for 60ish hours - and you have a great daily driver. Detailed, crisp, balanced, and controlled across the range, great isolation.
Depending on the glasses and the pads in question, they could theoretically tamper with the seal, thus affecting (predominantly) bass response.
Not the most likely situation in the world, but more real than burn-in.
SchmittABAfter testing last night, It doesn't seem that my glasses especially affect my Focal Elex, but they do affect my beloved Nighthawks and Nightowls, which makes sense because they have such light clamping pressure. I'm legitimately considering getting Lasik now.
Wow, what a great presentation - the way everything is presented in the box is very nice.
Long story short, these sound quite good. A little bit boxy in my opinion, but that's hard to avoid with this kind of headphone and objectively it's a nice pair for the money.
My main complaint is the in-line controls. They're not located before the split, they're on the cable that leads to the right earbud. This particular detail is impossible to determine from the product pictures. The positioning means there's uneven tension between left and right - more strain on the right - and the controls are harder to reach than they would be in the center. Very disappointed by the positioning.
Overall, these are excellent earbuds. They offer a good range with solid bass on the low end. My one problem is that the eartips aren't as good as expected with a product in this price category. I replaced the eartips with a high quality foam tip and noticed significant improvements in isolation and audio quality. The price for this product is excellent given the audio quality of the buds.
