Are these suitable for use at the gym? I had an inexpensive MMCX Bluetooth cable but the remote/battery unit exposed the inner elements to my sweat apparently and it died after literally a couple of uses at the gym. I'm not asking about specific IP rating so much as reasonable protection. I've had several Bluetooth headphones that weren't technically rated for gym use but that lasted over a year of sweat at the gym before giving up the ghost.

I have it connected to advanced’s hi end ciem and have to say they sound amazing. I first listened to them wired and then wireless and the difference is minimal I almost couldn’t tell. There is a slight hiss but once the music starts it’s impossible to tell. The aren’t great at phone calls in Noisy environments but if music is your primary concern they are amazing. I get about 5 days use out of them using them an hour or so a day On my commute. On top of it their customer service team is honestly the best I have seen and they honor the 3 year warranty. I had a problem with a different product of theirs and they replaced it woithout A hassle. I highly recommend it as I haven’t found a better Bluetooth solution. I also like the necklace design because when I want to take out the headphones they just hang around my neck instead of having to put them away.

What are the specs? SNR? THD? Crosstalk?
BT adapters I've tried so far(including the ones with aptX on CSR8645) were all of terrible quality in terms of audio performance.

Ok, sorry for being sarcastic. My point is, it should be ither of very good audio quality for whatever price, or cheap with mediocre sound quality. This product falls in second niche. For $23 I've got BT cable on aliexpress built on same chip which provides 15 hours of playback. That's what I call bang-for-buck. Model is TRN BT3.

ToxicNo offense taken. The off the shelf solution such as CSR8645 can and do sound different depending on the implementation. I can't attest for how TRN unit functions and sounds, but I commend them for being able to offer something like that at such price. Although, I'd be lying if I can't help but feel some corners are cut.

Talent H1-BT adapter on Parts Express is exactly same device for half the price. I have one myself - the wires are a bit fiddly, but otherwise it's good.

sergeyuM3 is of our own design that we've designed and been selling since 2016, with patent pending in multiple countries including the US. We became aware of Talent's counterfeit and have investigated at the supply chain level in 2017. You should be aware that although they may appear similar outside, they are in fact different structurally and electronically. We found that the counterfeit product had inferior internal mechanism for the buttons, lacks over-charging / over-current protection IC, and uses a smaller size battery inside. We are a small company based in New York and we choose to focus on developing new and innovative products instead of wasting our limited resources on chasing down counterfeit in legal battles.

The microphone on these is comically awful. To the point of being unusable for phone calls. It sounds like an 80's walkie-talkie. It's so bad I actually returned my first pair because I thought it was defective but the replacement was just as bad. Makes them pretty annoying to use paired with your phone.

I have these. The cables are the bit annoying, bad battery life, and sound quality is nothing special. Doesn't support aptx HD or LDAC.
Would only recommend if you don't care too much about quality and just wanted to use this for a few hours a day, e.g. doing housework or working out.

I have these with the adv sound earbuds and... I guess I wouldn't get them again. The cord is tough to manage and the connection isn't great. I do enjoy the sound and I thought it would be a really flexible system to get, but day to day use gets frustrating. Battery lasts a while.

JmikelittleBluetooth connection is dependent on source as well as the device itself. Additionally the low battery affects the connection stability, so please make sure to keep them charged if you are experiencing connection issue. We are using a reliable CSR8645 solution that has been optimized over several years in our application. If the connection issue persists, please contact us at support@adv-sound.com.

I see. Then the fact that the dac isn't highlighted is concerning.

JvalM3 uses the DAC solution built into CSR8645 Bluetooth chipset and does not have a separate DAC.
