How are these for sports, could I use these while running?
Since I am not going to use a portable amp and plug them directly into my phone..
Or use them while cycling(commuting) to uni, any thought?
HugoCoolThese would not be good running headphones. They are open headphones (sound bleeds in and out in a major way) that haven't been designed to be sweat resistant.
HugoCoolThey are terrific sports headphones. The 3m/9.8' cable works exceptionally well as an alternative jump rope. As well, the 62 Ohm impedance matches exceedingly well with iPods and the like.
In addition, the velour earpads are super large, meaning that they will absorb a lot more sweat than your typical earbud type devices. They are also open back, so you will be able to hear cars honking at you or bike bells ringing at you during your runs. Safety over sound quality every single time!
The only thing I'd be concerned about is the flat headband which could get a bit slick when it gets sweaty. However, I'd recommend drilling some ventilation holes in it and then scoring the underside/head side of the band with a knife so it sticks to your head better during runs. Also, I'd suggest using super glue to hold the sliders/length adjusters in place. The ear pieces are heavy so they will probably have a bit more movement when you are jogging with them on, so you will need to permanently secure those so they don't move on you.
