I was 100% going to push the pre-order button until I saw the price. I work as a product manager for complicated electronic devices and can think of no way that amount is justifiable unless they only made 20pcs and are trying to recoup all the money for the molds in one shot.

CoruscoThere is no mold. It’s a solid block on aluminum CNC’d using 5axis. It’s a marvel.

WikkiFive Axis CNC isn't the flex it was fifteen years ago. That's dollars worth of aluminum and tens of dollars of machine time. It looks sweet as hell, but a CNC'd aluminum block doesn't automatically justify an extra zero.

Wikkiyes, it's a marvel... that there are naive people so easily duped by a few marketing buzzwords. this isn't the 19th century. it's aluminium, not rhodium. hell, even if it were titanium it would be overpriced. and it's made by CNC, not hand sculpted by an artist. i could see this costing 300$ because it's a niche market.
