Evidently the moderator has no problem with the vendor blaming the MD members who purchased the watch for the issues they're concerned about, but does have a problem with me pointing it out? "Literally the only complaints we have had have been from drop customers that read this review then decided to find issue with their dial after the fact and in some cases after owning it for months with no complaint. Prior to this review there were no problems."

Not a problem. I think we all know who the gamer was. No doubt you’re doing your best just to keep up. Hopefully we’re at a point where you can take a break now.
RayFI've unhidden all the ones I could find, but be sure to flag me if anything else goes missin round these parts.

Absolutely agree! The one true REVIEW (not a worthless "unboxing" video) was the shocking review from Just One More Watch. I've watched a zillion of his reviews and this is the first and only one I've ever heard him come right out and say: "I can't recommend." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxFptD2SzW4 Hey, you know what? If you wanna buy a watch from this guy, knock yourself out, it's not my fucking job to save your ass, and personally I don't care what the hell is on your wrist (well, unless I bump into you on the street, then I may make fun of you ;- )

It is BS that comments are being deleted and hidden, and Drop is not doing it's members any kind of service here. You need to think about who you work for Drop.

Glen8Please see my updated review on the reviews tab for more information. MD locked my original thread so I wasn't able to reply to any of the comments.
Glen8No comments are deleted, but they are being hidden because I think someone is abusing the flagging system. I restored your comment below

These were 289 on eBay for about the last month, and yes, the ETA version, I almost bought it but the negative reviews (or neutral rather) gave me pause....as soon as this drop started or within a few days, the price on eBay went up to 399+....Just sayin...

I still love mine and its Vintage Blue / Black Sunray dial. Of the watches I own, it may be my favorite dial. Something I recently noticed on mine is that the bezel is 90 clicks, rather than 120 clicks. I was a bit disappointed with that discovery but it doesn't keep me from enjoying the watch.

I had the same reaction when I discovered this (and still do). Why would they do this? I googled it and found this discussion: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f242/can-someone-explain-90-click-bezel-jellyfish-541044.html. I guess the thought is... close counts. Assuming it lines up correctly at the 12:00 position, it will only align perfectly with one-third of the tick marks. The other two-thirds of the time it will be off by one-third of a second (one direction or the other). In practice, it's hard to notice the difference. Still, as Jody of Just One More Watch would say, it's a bit of a niggle.

eARStanleyWell if it's hard to notice there's a slight deviation from the minute mark on the dial, I guess it's fine 🤔 Anyway I would find easier 60 clicks instead 😊

I feel I should chime in here because I had an identical experience as @Wanton86 with a multi-piece abalone face (Miyota movement). After commenting on Drop, I was quickly replied to by Aquacy providing an email address to contact. After sending the email with pictures of the face, I got a response in less than 24 hours with a return shipping label. Took about 3-4 weeks from there for me to get my replacement. While the communication from Aquacy on here may come across to some as defensive, my experience found them to be honest and genuinely interested in making me happy with my purchase. As a side note, I got the sense that they are a relatively small operation reliant on positive reviews to help spread and bolster their brand. While by no means do I think that alone is reason enough to positively review them, I do feel it explains why, in my experience, they are so focused on providing such quality customer support

Yes it's right here https://drop.com/buy/aquacy-hei-matau-automatic-eta-dive-watch/talk/2503110?utm_source=linkshare&referer=9958VR I asked them and yes they told me no certification 😞 But it seems that you can call a ⌚ diver without that certification 😳

MarPablI agree: no cert, no dive. But this really isn't a serious dive watch. It's good enough for around town and the occasional dip in a swimming pool, but definitely not the watch a serious SCUBA or saturation diver would stake his/her life on. Aside from the certification issue, I don't find any of the Aquacy dial designs very legible, and certainly no easier to read than more traditional divers (Seikos, for instance). I don't imagine that problem gets any better the deeper one dives. Fortunately, I'm not a diver, but if I was, and my life truly depended on the watch I wore, I'd shell out for a Marinemaster 300M or 300 Tuna without hesitation. I like living!

Larger then 15mm Abalone pieces are hard to come by that are suitable for watch dials. Very hard as in almost do not exist. The shells are small. All brands with dials larger then 15mm use multi piece abalone dials. They are put together by skilled artists. You just normally cant tell its multi piece but you can tell if you look hard enough typically under certain lighting etc. . So anytime you see an Abalone dial on a watch of any brand its 99%+ chance it is multi-piece although you should not be able to see the lines with the naked eye if done correctly but if you look hard enough in right lighting etc. you probebaly can find it if you are looking for issues. We will say that we have sold hundreds and hundreds of these Abalone dial pieces. Literally the only complaints we have had have been from drop customers that read this review then decided to find issue with their dial after the fact and in some cases after owning it for months with no complaint. Prior to this review there were no problems. The abalone dial is our #1 seller and everyone loves it, except fro a few customers on drop. We can't keep them in stock.
