I really like this knife for an EDC. It is sharp and holds the edge well for my use. It sits low and thin in the pocket and is comfortable even in light shorts pockets. The action is smooth and feels sturdy, it hasn't loosened or tightened on its own even though I play with it while I am idle. The liner lock feel sturdy and doesn't wear out your fingers as some of them do. I really like the blue liners contrasting with the black handle, and the profile overall is comfortable for multiple hold styles. Fit and finish on the handle is excellent. The only imperfection is the ridge between the center spacer and the liners is slightly higher on one side than the other, but I had to go looking for problems to find that. The blade grind is fair to good, but not great. It is not symmetric to start. One side of the blade is nearly perfect with only some uneven softening of the edge to flat transition. The other side is not well ground. In addition to the same uneven softening of the transition, there is a notable valley near the tip which is concealed by the stone wash but is obvious to the touch and when playing the light over the blade, as the edge grind shows uneven there. The profile of the cutting edge is not even, with waves that you can feel if you run your fingertip down the cutting edge. The edge itself, while sharp, is not sharp enough for me to feel at all uncomfortable running a fingertip down the edge with enough pressure to feel the edge profile. I wouldn't do this with my Mcusta, which is my other go-to EDC.

Prior to the arrival of this Artisan knife, I have been wowed each and every time I have opened the box. Unfortunately that is not the case with this knife. It is noticeably smaller than the other 3 Artisan knives I have purchased. There is a sizable gap between the grip plate and the actual grips edge which I have not see on other Artisan knives...the knife is almost a full shorter 4 inches closed rather than 5, the blade is a tad over 3 inches. overall length is closer to 7.8 inches instead of the 8.9 posted. It locks open well and is a nice little knife. i'll probably give it to my girlfriend.

Good knife, stiff deployment

I got the orange and blue coloration. Overall it is a good knife and visually pleasing. Lockup and alignment are good. The deep carry clip is a nice addition and has good placement. The blade shape is great for delicate and precise cutting with that razor sharp tip. It came with a great edge out of the box. It is heavy for it's size in my opinion and the handle is thick. I find myself choosing slimmer knives for everyday carry over this one. The deployment is very stiff for a flipper.
