Featuring an attractive wood-and-metal design that’s surprisingly lightweight, the Astrotec AM-800s are a great-looking pair of everyday IEMs. The 10-millimeter dynamic drivers deliver impressive detail in every track, and the low 16-ohm impedance means the AM-800s can be driven from most sources. The cable measures 4 feet long and is reinforced with Kevlar fiber to prevent pesky tangling. Plus, three sets of included ear tips (two silicone, one foam) help you find the ideal fit and seal out noise in the environment around you. As for the sound, The Headphone List calls this IEM “a solid all-around performer. It pursues a mildly V-shaped signature with punchy bass and bright treble. The low end is similar to that of the VSonic GR06—slightly above neutral in quantity, but far from overbearing.”
