Refusal to take responsibility.
Hi, Just thought I would make a note here of your handling of my issues. I ordered a pair of HD6xx headphones and then earlier today recieved the package. I drive to go and get it, as I like in the UK I had to pay import tax and handling fees. These total £47.92. The breakdown being £35.92 in tax and £12 in fees. These taxes were calculated of the shipping label of the box, which marked the shipment as the 6xx headphones of $199 value. Before leaving the parcel depot, I open the box to find a $35 lord of the rings mousepad. So now the problem is not only do I not have the headphones, but you have marked the shipment wrong so I have paid £47.92 fees for the handling of the mousepad. Which would have acrued £0 of fees if marked correctly as it is under £135. I go back to the desk but as I have already paid the fees I am unable to reject the shipment, but as the box said 6xx, there was no way for me to know before opening it. I contact support and they offer me a replacement, which...

I have heard of this Amir person being mentioned in various forums, and good to finally see his review.
I am sure he has a lot more knowledge on electronics, and his test equipment would suggest he is a pro in this field.
While reviews are certainly helpful (hence convinced me to get the R2R-11 and audeze lcd-2 in the first place), one needs to make sure the reviewer and the reader are listening to similar things.
I have had my R2R-11 for a couple months, and I am so happy with it that I ordered the R28. What Amir can't measure are my ears and what I hear, and his review tells me that his ears and mine are incompatible. Not wrong, just incompatible.
I've had various home audio equipment, the most expensive being wilson watt puppy 8 speakers and powered by Jadis DA50 signature amp, with a Goldmund cd player (had a meridien but most of my CD's started to skip so upgraded).
My dad has a simple Quad 66/606 (includes the largest remote control on earth) with a mundane Infinity emit tower speakers, sony ES555 cd player, and in some ways, that was better cause it allowed me to enjoy my music than to become analytical... this was the system that i grew up listening to.
Measurement wise, i am sure the wilson/jadis will trample the quad/infinity anyday... but I prefer it as an everyday listening system on certain music. Sometimes I don't want to hear a band member breathing through their nose in the background
Bottom line is, I know what i like to hear, irrespective of what measurements show.
End rant.
:)
Let haters be haters, the AudioGD R2R sound is the best for my humble ears :) I've ended up with the Audio GD R2R-R1 + NFB1-AMP stack as my desktop end game.
Having said that, the Aune S6 is a very nice sounding DAC/Amp, and there is enough power for HD6xx owners. I gave my unit to my brother, he's paired it with the Massdrop CTH amp for flavour.
