I got these yesterday.
Out of the box, they sound very average. The base is just a bit average to adequate, sound stage is a bit weak and not immensely detailed, the highs are ok. It does sound a bit canny. I broke them a bit (some 10h overnight) and they might have gotten a bit better. I had to put some Comply foam tips to add a bit of base and isolation which brought a bit more detail.
The cables are tangle free, flat cables that are well made and flexible enough without being weak. The connection to the extension cable is the strangest thing I have seen in the earphone category. Whoever engineered that part or thought about adding a connection there should be fired.
I have a $20 SoundMAGIC E10 that sound slightly better. This is unacceptable from a supposedly better brand like beyerdynamics and at a $70 MSRP prise tag.
I am not hugely disappointed, but i would not have bought it.

MechanicalKeyboardsAreLifeMy mailbox was too small...it was at the door. The headphone package is about 4x7x2. Plus that yellow bubble envelope. USPS tracking was off for 2 or 3 days (in transit!), till 2 days before delivery. You are in Canada, between usps and canada post, i wouldn't rely much on tracking with these 2 ineffective services...just wait. You might have to pay duties though.
