I liked The DMG a lot until I heard the Ikko OH10, which are a bit brighter overall, esp in mids. But the detail is worth it and the bass a bit deeper and less congested. Now I have to experiment with DMG filters and tips to see if I can clear the sound up a bit without getting the treble spike. Using the gold filter with foam tips might take away too much, or the OH10 is worth paying the extra money.
I should add that Im keeping these -- they fit easily, and while bass heavy is appreciated, they still have some detail. I like them better than the $109 TFZ No.3, which are similar. They were a good deal here for $99, but if more, I'd consider a jump in quality to something like OH10 or KXXS, or even the DM6.
