Combining the look of hand binding with the practicality of machine binding, the Stitch-in-the-Ditch Seam Guide comes with a foot, four fences, and six shank adapters to use with multiple quilting machines. The four fences—adjustable from a quarter inch up to one inch—allow you to bind anything from garments to low-loft, medium-loft, and high-loft batting. Simply use the fence to sew your folded binding on the front of your project and ensure a perfect, consistent seam allowance. And for nice, straight edges and expertly mitered corners, you’ll also get a Zip Bind System. Zip clips hold the folded binding in place without leaving marks, minute miters help make uniform mitered corners, and the zip bind tool folds binding as you stitch. Finally, the Sew Mate all-purpose tool can be used to push, pull, hold, rip, tug, lift, guide, and even protect your fingers from an iron or machine needle.
Note: This drop is for one Stitch-in-the-Ditch Seam Guide and one Zip Bind System. Limited quantities available.
Wondering which Stitch-in-the-Ditch adapter you’ll need to use? Adapter 1 is meant for low-shank machines (like Pfaff and Singer Featherweight), adapter 2 is for new Singers and Quantum machines, and adapter 3 is for the Singer Slant Needle. Adapter 4 works with high-shank machines (like Brother), adapter 5 is for super-high-shank machines (like Kenmore), and adapter 6 is for Brother 1300, 1500, and Juki. No adapters are needed for most Viking, Janome, New Home, Babylock, Necchi, Elna, and some White machines. Bernina machines require a different shank adapter, not included here.
