Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 1/29 or sooner if something comes up.
Great news, group! We placed the order shortly after the drop ended and the vendor has let us know that it's already been picked up and is on its way to our warehouse now. Based on the tracking provided these are scheduled to come in 1/22. Our warehouse team has been forwarded tracking info and will be standing by, ready to get these packed up and turned around as soon as they come in.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, not to worry as we will keep the group posted throughout the process and notify you all if anything causes delay.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 1/22 or sooner if something comes up.
I got some of these in the Blue Box deal, too. They do sound quite nice -- good clarity and ample, quality bass. I'm really surprised to read about the failures here -- the S5 seems to be built like a tank with metal body and thick, flat cabling with bulky strain reliefs. Are they worth $74 (or $64)? Maybe -- I do think they sound significantly better than the ~$40 Carbo Basso and Tenore, but I don't have experience with any direct competitors in the S5's price range. The cable is easy to detangle, but it's also annoyingly thick, stiff, and grippy.
These headphones are great!!! But now after a two month heavy usage the left side doesn't work. I'd have to move the cable around the plug and bend it in some way to get audio back but it's not consistent.
I got one of these in the grab bag drop a while back. They sound pretty good - very clear and crisp sound. Getting a good seal was tricky for me. These are pretty unforgiving if you don't get a very good seal, but the great variety of tips that are included gives you plenty to work with.
flarpI have the less expensive model of this style and I can't get a good seal with any of the tips that came with it or with any of the Comply models. I loved them (comfy, good sound when I force a seal, the flat cable is great too) but I had to give them away because I just can't get them sealed :(
I had no idea these are over $100. I somehow got these here from a Blue Box grab bag for $25! Other than the weird shape that makes you think they are in your ear incorrectly, they sound really good. I'm no audiophile, but they're very clear with a decent amount of bass.
Euphoria64As did I. Came here to say that they are my first pair of real IEMs. With the memory foam earbuds, most noise is isolated to the 10mm drivers. 10mm is thicker than an iPhone, remember!
These have some weight to them. The body is metal and feel sturdy. Can't say enough about the sound. I have used them gaming through an amp with 1/4", with my iPhone, with a PC 1/8" jack. These seem to be designed for portable use with a low impedance. My iPhone 6 drives these puppies and they sound great.
