TasselhoffActually, what my question was getting at is where I can find refills outside of MD, as well as somewhere besides Bull & Stash. No offense to them, but I don't know if they'll be around forever, or how long they'll be selling this size of refill. I was just wanting to see if anyone knew if it was a common size/hole pattern that's more widely available. Thanks!
GrendleI can return the product for a refund, which I'll be doing, but they cannot now give me what I ordered. I will be thinking long and hard before joining another drop.
After measuring the notebook, I can tell for certain I received the large book rather than the travel size. This isn't acceptable. Is anyone else having this issue?
Yes I also have had the same problem as scottrh. I was thinking I might have received the full-sized stash instead of the Travel Stash. I've contacted support but have not heard back. Is there someone who can follow up with this?
This is a brilliant product; I have the larger version. Beautifully made, with the flush "book binding" aluminum screws and studs. You can even get brass versions at an ACE hardware store if you'd prefer to dress it up a bit. The only downside is if you use a fountain pen. I simply do not understand why vendors like Field Notes, Moleskine and now Bull Stash do not use fountain pen friendly sheets paper. It's readily available from so many specialty vendors like Goulet Pens that it just doesn't make sense. Couple that with a custom paper size and you're stuck with their refills. I hope they read this as it is a great product, just needs to work with something other than a pencil, ballpoint or fine point rollerball pen.
With the two screws, can you turn the page neatly? Can you write on the other side of the first few pages without buckling, tearing, or punching holes? Thanks.
I bought mine online awhile back, I like it, good quality, but the only place to get refills that fit is from the company, and if you live outside USA the shipping makes buying refills very expensive, I use a hole punch and notepad paper with no holes and make my own, would be perfect if I could buy a standard refill from Staples etc.
KlondikekidThis seems to be part of a lifestyle subscription service with the the custom/proprietary refills. What are the dimensions of the sheets in the refill? The size of the notebook 3.4x6in (86,36x152,4mm) means one sheet of A4 paper (or a legal pad) will give you three Traveler sheets along with waste scraps. Seventeen sheets of A4 makes 51 traveler size sheets and none of them with nice rounded corners like on the refills. Sounds like buy once, run out of paper once, throw into the junk drawer once and then go back to buying notebooks of the regular disposable kind. 😃
