I second Midshipmen's comments. It's terrible. I gave mine away, apologizing the entire time. It is actually far worse than the kit lenses supplied with new cameras, and I'm a little shocked that Canon still makes this lens--their reputation stands to suffer. The only people who would buy this lens have APS-C sized sensor cameras (the EOS Rebel / TX / X0D / 7D lines). But for a little bit more (or about the same on eBay), you can get the far, far superior EF-S 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS II lens (not the STM version). I like Massdrop and look forward to when they offer the Sigma 24mm f/1.4.
But, again, do not buy this lens.
I mean, it is a $200 75-300 lens. I wouldn't expect too much from it. It is probably on par with the quality of the starter lens that comes with most cameras nowadays.
