“If you don’t have the tool, make the tool” is the Carbon Tactics motto. The Epoch, the company’s latest in a long line of tactical belts, is designed from the ground up for strength in the field or at a big dinner Read More
Before getting this belt, I had another carry belt that I would wear every single day, with every pair of pants, and for nearly every occasion (short of weddings).
This belt is so good, it has taken my previous belt's place of daily wear. Once you get it adjusted and get the excess material trimmed off and cauterized, it is incredibly comfortable and easy to put on and take off. This is the perfect belt for coming home from work and taking your pants off in an instant.
Also, if you happen to have anything you need to hang from this belt (concealed, open, IWB, OWB, or any other position), this belt will keep it in place, exactly where it needs to be when you go to reach for it.
This is my favorite belt, and I have already sung its praises to all my friends and family. They did not enjoy the quick-unclasp feature as much as I do, however.
Really happy with the quality and finish of the product, wish the sizing had been a little more clear however as i ordered the double layer model and the biothane layer only covers 3/4 of the belt the asymmetry bothers me more than it should. If i were to order again i would order the next size up as the excess nylon will easily tuck underneath and the biothane layer would have full coverage.
This is, by far, the greatest belt I've ever owned.
Carbon Tactics deserves awards for this belt. Not only is the belt material sturdy, the buckle solid and reliable, and the carrying capacity for pouches and the like unmatched...
I feel like Batman every time I put it on.
I freaking LOVE this belt.
This belt is awesome and came in a size big enough to fit when decked out with tons of gear. Buckle is easy to use and has not accidentally opened. Had for several months and no serious wear and tear problems discoverd so far. More stiff than expected but in a good way.
Tightly woven, no loose or frayed bits, good stitching
The color is good and goes with most things, and I would like to get a darker colored version like a leathery looking brown. Yep, I would get another just for another color option to go with different pants. The buckle initially seems too small but any bigger and it would be a pain while sitting. I love how firm the belt is and how it refuses other shapes and twisting. I haven't cut mine (and won't) and let the excess fit under the other side's belt loop. Fits through all the belt loops on every pant I've tried. Setting the buckle for your size isn't difficult but it isn't that easy either with how stiff the nylon weave is, but it won't ever budge accidentally after you have it in place either. Most belt buckles have a horizontal symmetry and since this one does not you can really only wear it threaded through the belt loops one way and that happens the be the opposite of how I normally thread my belts which I'm not even listing as a con; just gotta do it this other way. Every other belt I have though can be hung, but this one cannot be hung so I minus'd 0.01 stars. I rolled it up and put it in the sock drawer.
Very glad I took a risk and went for it on this drop. Extremely well made, simple to assemble and use, no magnets. Comfortable; sits well and supports holstered items sitting or standing. A drop of oil in the pivot of the release helped a lot.
This belt is incredibly stiff compared to any of the leather styles I have tried. It also is fantastic to operate and has never dropped out accidentally. I'm loving it.
