Early adopter here - got mine on Amazon when it came out.
Was very disappointed. A lot of my FLACs were distorted. I finally gave up on it - do not know if they ever fixed the distortion issue.
If you poke around enough you will fine a lot of people had problems with the headphone jacks breaking since they were made of plastic.
I noticed they came out with a newer version. Wonder if they fixed all these issues.

Tsar_Bomba1I have an N5ii and am active on the N5ii thread on Head-fi and this the first time I've ever heard of this issue.
Have you tried contacting anyone from cayin's support regarding the issue?

Tsar_Bomba1Headphone jack is still garbage. Mine broke within a few months. Huge disappointment.
