Cayin has gained a great reputation for making high-end DACs, headphone amps, and digital audio players. With the N5ii, the company continues its streak Read More
The TF/microsd slots for the device support 400gb cards. I happened to have a 512Gb microsd card, so I put that in on a lark. It was recognized and listed as such. I don't have anywhere near that much in music files to test actual performance that high, but it is useful to know.
Early adopter here - got mine on Amazon when it came out.
Was very disappointed. A lot of my FLACs were distorted. I finally gave up on it - do not know if they ever fixed the distortion issue.
If you poke around enough you will fine a lot of people had problems with the headphone jacks breaking since they were made of plastic.
I noticed they came out with a newer version. Wonder if they fixed all these issues.
Why isn't there a review section on this? I've come to a situation in life where I need a good DAP and this one has my attention, but I want to read some listening impressions and I can't find any reputable reviews on it.
HeeftyI have the unit over one year had 2 DAP's before and I'm very happy with it in all aspects.
Sound wise it depence on the quality of recording. This player is honest does not hide anything if the recording is bad or low quality you can hear it! If the recording is good the player has a very balanced image. Highs are clean and smooth, middle have structure and sound jut right and the bass is fast ,tight and clean. For the money you pay it's a great player.
Service on line is quick to response ,System up-grate can be done on line and is easy.
So, I guess this wouldn't be the best DAP to choose for my Sennheiser HD 650 if I didn't also want to have to carry a separate amp? Most of the time I just use my Noble 3 universal IEMs, but sometimes I like to crank it into my HD 650s for that more visceral bass feel.
I need to find a DAP to replace my LG V10 as a music player before it finally croaks. I can't afford to buy a thousand dollar upgrade phone that won't let me replace the battery after it stops taking a full charge in a year.
Yeah, I'm just sad no one seems to make an all-in-one DAP/amp to cover high impedence studio headphones and notoriously-power-hungry planar magnetics. Truthfully I haven't put a lot of time into digging through specs on all of the DAPs out there, but I get a little bit disheartened every time I see a DAP that wouldn't be able to handle my HD 650s as well as my phone has.
Hello...I had several iPods for as long as I can remember and from the features that made my relationship with them very interesting I have to mention play counts, ratings and the associated smart play lists that made use of them characteristics. I would like to know whether this device has the capability to change ratings and keep track of play counts. Maybe something in the line of iTunes play lists also?
I looked at Sony with no luck and the apple iPod is too small for my needs right now...besides, no flac.
Thank you very much
