Get better sound out of your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with the Cozoy TAKT. This battery-free dongle includes a DAC/amp and a built-in microphone/remote, and is compatible with all iOS devices that use a lightning port Read More
are there any lightning dac/amp's that pass thru the inline mic and controls? This one is nice BUT the controls will be in by your pants pocket vs your chest. Maybe that doesn't matter too much. Would be interested in knowing if anything passes thru the mic. I use a centrance with cck and do controls with the apple watch which isn't too terrible.
This thing is junk. I plugged it into my iPad mini 4 and used my BeoPlay H6 first generation headphones. It sounded better from the iPad directly. The soundstage on this thing is no better than using an iPhone or iPad directly. Seriously, I wondered if it were pass-through audio but then it wouldn't sound worse if that were the case. I guess I learned my lesson, a fool (me) and his money were easily parted in this case. AVOID.
I just got an email that says:
"It's your last chance to join the 13+ other buyers on the drop for the Cozoy TAKT Lightning DAC/Amp."
There are currently 14 people who have joined. Makes me laugh.
USB On-The-Go, often abbreviated to USB OTG or just OTG, is a specification first used in late 2001 that allows USB devices, such as tablets or smartphones, to act as a host, allowing other USB devices, such as USB flash drives, digital cameras, mice or keyboards, to be attached to them. Use of USB OTG allows those devices to switch back and forth between the roles of host and device. For instance, a mobile phone may read from removable media as the host device, but present itself as a USB Mass Storage Device when connected to a host computer. In other words, USB OTG introduces the concept of a device performing both master and slave roles – whenever two USB devices are connected and one of them is a USB OTG device, they establish a communication link. The device controlling the link is called the master or host, while the other is called the slave or peripheral.
I just read the news somewhere, the beta version of iOS not support it, but this is not the final version.
Looks good, but overpriced. Backed up accessport for $19 (super early bird) and waiting on it to arrive. How one can go wrong with $19 (+shipping) purchase when Apple CCK cost more.
ilcg1I had the Accessport but it broke down in just a few months. Before that it was a mixed experience.
+ the sound was great, way better than the original iPhone 7 dac.
- it isn’t compatible with headphones with mic and controls on the cable. when used with those cables neither controls worked. I tried with both Sennheiser Momentum and Bose Q25.
