I bought 20 pairs of these socks after reading tons of great reviews on Amazon.
In my opinion, they suck. They fit strangely (some parts tight, some parts loose) and they always twist and contort. Can't wait to get them off at the end of the day.
I bought a pack of Nike socks at JCPenney that blow them out of the water.
KliskThat's what I said at first seeing the prices at $20/pair at my local REI. Bought some regardless and I can't tell you how glad I am. This is a good price for a great product.
KliskThey aren't your average socks. I was on the fence about them before I got two different drops. I have the lifestyle socks and the mid length hikers. Love them. Now that I have tried high end socks, I might try some of them fancy man panties next!
Lifetime guarantee? So if I lose one in the laundry they will send me a replacement? (this happens to all of my socks eventually, they rarely wear out)
bilbodaLifetime guarantee is if you ever have an issue with your socks, you can send them back for an exchange or replacement. But, you do have to send a *pair* of socks. The warranty doesn't include you losing the socks. But if you wear it out, tear it on a fence, get it chewed on by your dog, or whatever, they'll take care of you.
bendrexlyep. 100%. They have a basic form to fill out when you send in your socks for replacement directly to Darn Tough. They only require that you send in two of the same socks. Can't be one, and can't be mix n match.
bendrexlYep, as long as the company stays in business. I've heard of people abusing the warranty, and if that happens too much, I imagine they'd tighten it (see: Costco, REI, etc.). If I get 4-5 years of use out of a pair of socks that fit good and feel good, I'm not sending them back at that point, but that's just me.
Can MD please clarify the difference between the Double-Cross Tab socks and the non-Double-Crossed Tab variant. It doesn't say anything apart from the percentage composition.
From what I can see in the photos, the Double-Cross Tab sock has slimmer 'tabs', where the non-Double-Crossed Tab has thicker 'tabs' than its other variant.
Thanks! I did look on their site but shows nothing either so I was going by what had been listed in MD's description and thought it was mainly to do with the 'tabs' protecting the heel.
I suppose it's likely overall just the stitching profile and vent/stretch as you've said.
ViraI asked them directly and this is the reply I received; "the Double Cross is simply the name of one of our men's running socks. It's built light and durable".
Great news is that I received my 'drop after little more than a week. Bad news is that I was sent a 1-pack of socks instead of the 3-pack in the offer. Off to deal with Customer Service.
SHH48Update: I received the 2nd shipment and again, just one pair of socks. So I’m still out one pair. I submitted another support ticket to either ship or provide a refund for that last pair.
