Very disappointed in this lamp. When attaching it to the the table, clamp broke with very little pressure, the light base was still moving freely on the sewing machine cabinet. I contacted Massdrop and they were of no assistance and told me to contact the manufacturer directly. My situation is not yet resolved.

ksartain57Hi ksartain, My name is EJ and I am one of the Sales Managers for Daylight Company. I am sorry to read this about your clamp breaking. The light is under warranty and you can call our customer service line at 1-866-DAYLIGHT (329-5444). Thank you
$170 is the minimum that Daylight will let them go? Baloney. These are selling at all the sewing shows for $150. Nope.

MelanieMannRodgersYou didn’t read far enough. They can’t display it lower than the MAP. It takes $40 off at checkout for $130.
Antiher0I stand corrected, which makes the price $130. However, the original price has never been $215, the MSRP is always 199. Sneaky.

Same price as Amazon right now. For a work lamp it would be nice if there was some information about the CRI of the LEDs. I'm also disappointed it's not offered in slightly warmer temperatures -- 6000K might indeed mimic daylight, but for a lamp it's way too cool. A 5000K light with CRI over 90 would be ideal.

wordfoolThe listed price is the Minimum Advertised Price. It's $30 off at checkout. And it's intended for crafters who want to see what their work will look like outside/in sunlight. There's plenty of 5000k work lights out there.

LOVE THIS! I received this April 2019. It is exactly the lamp I needed for above my ironing area. I wanted a clamp not a base and the slim design doesn't get in the way. I am amazed at how bright this slim design puts out.

This is so far superior and for under $30. on Amazon We have them in our home offices. They are very sleek and give great light for working and don't have to be ATTACHED to the desk, an old concept. At $170.99 the MD lamp is a rip off, besides being old tech. rugglesThis is too expensive for me, but I have to disagree with attachment being a bad/old school idea. I had an Ott Lite task lamp for many years. It was sitting on my sewing table as I was quilting a quilt. It got knocked off the table while readjusting the quilt. It broke. So now, for that purpose, I would only buy a lamp that can be screwed to the table.

rugglesNot sure how you can compare a 1,065 lm lamp with a 360lm lamp. I guess you could buy 3 of the 360's and they would be cheaper than this one for sure but it really isn't a fair comparison.
