10x better than stock pads
Didn’t love the OG fit of the HE-X4. Sheepskin pads seem to improve the clamp force and relieve some pressure from the top of my giant head.

Comfy and cool with nice sound signature
Always love Dekoni pads. The amount of work they put in to ensuring the expected sound signature for each of their types of earpads is impressive and as is the result.
I normally opt for fenestrated sheepskin on several of my headphones because they're always comfy, usually cooler (and longer-lasting than original pads) and generally speaking give me an ever-so-slight slight bump in the low end while maintaining the detail in the high end. At least that's how they sound to me.
Have these performed on the HEx4's as expected? Absolutely, and I definitely recommend them

Fits Hifiman HE-X4 properly - Velour pads
The pads took a minute to figure out how to put on. You have to line up certain parts of the pad with the earpiece and then twist it into place. The velour pads sound nice and feel a lot better on my ears. I enjoyed the sound very much. The pads feel high quality and seem like they'll last a good while. For $35 this is a great deal. They do have a different sound from the sheepskin/velour hybrid the HE-X4 comes with, but I enjoy it as I said. Highly recommended!

Fit 400i 2020 perfect
Quality feel and actually not as hard to install as I thought given the comments.. took me only a few minutes.
NB: stock pads fell apart after 12 months as did the fake leather on the headband

Sound is the same or a little bit better ! Great quality! but is smaller than the original pads. Difficult to install as usual. Buy Dekoni instead of the stock Hifiman pads.

Good investment for comfort
I got the fenestrated sheepskin earpads for my HE-X4s cuz they were on sale. They do make it a bit more comfortable than the stock earpads but I can't tell the difference in sound quality. It definitely doesn't make the sound worse. Then again, I'm just an average guy who wanted some nice, comfy headphones. The actual replacing took me a few minutes to figure out but nothing too difficult.

Easy to install, comfortable to wear
They feel really comfortable on the ears, not only because of the material, but also because of the padding. And the Dekoni rings are way easier to install, than a lot of chinese after market rings. So, they aren't particularly cheap, but they are actually worth it.
