The next shipment of CTRL HPs is expected to be delivered to our warehouse around the middle of this month (August). If you are still waiting for your order, you can expect shipping to begin towards the end of the month.
Hey Elbert, from what I remember on the Holy Panda release in which FIFO was lost, people were credited $10 on their account. Could this not happen for this situation too? Someone had mentioned it before in an earlier discussion.

InsaneBlitzCould it happen? Of course it can. Will it? Not my domain. Maybe @Kevin has an answer.
InsaneBlitzI'll have a look into it on Monday and we'll give out credits if the situation warrants. Will post back late Monday or Tuesday depending on how long it takes to get all the required info to review.
@Elbert Any update as to when we can expect these to start shipping out? Have you heard when this batch will be in? You said originally you would have them start shipping out by mid August and that is literally where we’re at right now. I see you have another drop already running for this product, shouldn’t you prioritize these mistakes first before worrying about an entirely new batch? Will our boards be held up until that batch comes which is set to ship October 13th?
you said originally they would ship mid-August and we would have them by the end of the month. Was that just another false promise from drop? Or what’s the status of our boards?

SquiddThat was an estimate based on the most up to date information at the time. Looks like the shipment was picked up later than expected and the current estimated delivery to our warehouse is the end of the month. I'm sorry if I got your hopes up and that you have to wait a bit longer. I try to provide the most accurate information that I can and would like to continue to do so, but if estimates I provide are going to be misconstrued as false promises when the actual logistics unfold differently, I may reconsider. I am not trying to mislead you and I apologize if you feel that way. Your orders will ship as soon as we receive the incoming units.
I understand completely and I’m sorry if I sounded rude. I’m just so excited to get my keyboard and throw some 62g Tangerines in it lol so I’m sure you can understand my excitement.
SquiddI feel you. I got done lubing my switches today and I'm just excited to get it too. But did you not receive the email saying ours will ship early September? Along with a $10 credit being given to us. I used that to pick up GMK Samurai for the board too
InsaneBlitzI didn’t get an email no, but I did receive a $10 credit and I already had $10 in drop rewards from buying the board so I grabbed 90 gateron yellows for $5 plus shipping lol. I mean i was hoping for mid August shipping so Naybe I could get it by my birthday (August 29th) but I’m just glad it’s almost ready finally lmao.
now it’s time to find come C3 tangerines 62G
SquiddOh weird. I figured all of us here waiting had gotten the email. But aw man sorry you're not getting it by then. We're almost there now though I hope. I also hope it ships like literally the first week of September
luongosbWait what?? And it has prime shipping as an option. @Elbert does this mean ours is shipping the 1st? If not, then why is Amazon getting theirs already

InsaneBlitzUnits for Amazon are shipped separately and directly to them. Amazon has much larger warehouses and workforce, so they are able to receive the goods into inventory a lot faster. Their Sept 1 release date is based on the same end of month delivery that we are currently expecting at our NJ warehouse.
It's still difficult to stomach that someone who buys on amazon could potentially receive their unit within two days after ordering while we've preordered months in advance and we are still waiting for our units.

luongosbYeah, I understand. You happen to be in a group of outstanding orders that could not be fulfilled from the previous batch. It's not the norm and we are getting better at forecasting every month. Nevertheless, I'm sorry you have to endure the extra wait.
You do understand how that looks from my perspective? There is a likely possibility that those people will receive their boards before I do.

luongosbYes, I understand. If you'd like to cancel for a refund and purchase off of Amazon instead, that can be arranged. I cannot apologize enough for your situation, but unfortunately, there's no way to expedite it to guarantee that you get your keyboard before Amazon Prime orders.
Thank you for your prompt responses. I do appreciate the apology and I am not going to cancel. I cannot imagine what this looks like from a logistical perspective, just one as a consumer. As someone who preordered months ago, it felt like slap in the face.
Well, hearing that I’ve decided to just get a GMMK and use my tangerines on it. I’ve emailed drop support multiple times about cancelling my order and issuing my refund but I’ve heard nothing, can you tell me how long the refund process usually takes?

SquiddSupport is very busy. I'll check on your ticket.
It wouldn't be as bad if you had just notified us in July. You left who knows how many people in the dark for weeks so don't be shocked if people think you are disingenuous or misleading. It's your own fault.
So you say that posting 1st update 3 full weeks after expected shipment date is all you could have done...
And informing us sooner is something beyond your control...
I think the main issue is the lack of communication. Even if Drop didn't have a new ship date a little blurb of Hey there are some shipping issues going on, we will find out more info and update everyone. Something like that would have been great instead of leaving everyone in the dark for weeks.

Sirbloody@Deg.0What you both bring up is valid, but I cannot do everything myself, nor is it my responsibility to. While it's not necessarily unreasonable to be skeptical of information I provide as an official source, given that I am an employee, I'm saying that if my words are going to be misconstrued, I will be less inclined to be forthcoming.
I do understand where you are coming from, I wasn't trying to put the blame on you but as you work for Drop it seems that is what happened (I work in IT so I do know the feeling of getting grief for areas out of my responsibility).
I understand where you’re coming from but if it isn’t your responsibility then WHOS responsibility is it? Somebody has to be in charge of things. Who was in charge of the orders that got shipped when everything went all out of wack and people who have been waiting for months got delayed again and people ordered and received it in 2 weeks? This also happened on the holy panda release. If things like this happen all the time, somebody or something is obviously messed up. You also said you’ll be less inclined to INFORM YOUR CUSTOMERS of mistakes that are YOUR companies fault. Isn’t this your job, to help out your clients? Just because you’re upset we called you out doesn’t mean you act childish and say “oh well because I’m mad I’m gonna wait 3 weeks after their shipping date to inform them”.

SquiddI was referring to estimates of shipping dates, not avoiding updates altogether.
ahh, I’m sorry. Don’t get me wrong we all appreciate what you guys do but I think you can agree that while we all expected things to happen as there’s a worldwide pandemic, there was also a bunch of extra stuff that happened (People in early preorder groups waiting for months while others got there keyboards and holy pandas as they happened on multiple product drops) and it just looks like a lack of communication in the shipping department or I could be wrong and I know it’s not you’re fault but Somebody should be responsible for updates in a more timely fashion and somebody should at least let us know something is being done so that these things don’t happen again. Sorry if it seemed like a personal attack
ok, so we have like 7 posts pointing directly and only towards lack of communication (3 weeks without any update after announced date), and all we are getting back is "shipments are not my responsibility".
Nice.
Ah, and then some warning that we will get even less information if we don't accept that in response.
That is very interesting case from marketing point of view.
Maybe Drop is looking for some advanced ways to get broader attention?

Deg.0I don't know what to tell you, man. I try to be helpful, but I can't do everything. And I didn't say I'd give less information, just information that is less accurate. All I was trying to say is that if estimates are taken as exact and I catch grief for "inaccurate" information, I'll just have to give more vague timelines.
Would it be possible to post update right after you receive delay information yourself?
And maybe 3 days after initially promised date as latest?
Even something as simple as "hey there, shipment is delayed, we are trying to figure out how much, I'll keep you posted".
Can you imagine something like this happening? Being done actually?
Hey Elbert, can you let us know once the keyboards are delivered to the warehouse? I am assuming it's going to be real soon now. I just want to get a better idea as to when we're getting them. Thanks!

InsaneBlitzIt appears they have been delivered to the warehouse, but the goods are not yet received. Hopefully, they'll be shipped by early next week, if not this week.
k0nceptI mean, there were people that purchased 2 weeks prior to the last drop and got theres immediately yet there are people who have been waiting for months. You never know when it comes to drop
@Elbert Sorry to bother you again lol. Do you know if shipping will start tomorrow? Or have they not been received yet. Thanks! Just really hoping to get it this week
Kevini mean is there warranty? I think we have our answer if you want one it is 50 haha. It would seem to be the case LOL. why is such a simple question not answered and my question is who's paying 300 for a keyboard w/o a warranty. the fact that this isn't answered is driving me away from drop all together. What a weird company.
