Is the 15 to 45 minute range significant somehow, therefore the red? Oh wait it's just a style thing right? Kind of like that Massey Tissot watch with a 24 hour bezel on it but no 24 hour hand. I guess most people won't know enough to laugh at you though, so there's that

Glen8You do know that any bezel can track a 12hr time zone? On this one you just double all numbers. So, 10 is 2 / 20 is 4 / 30 is 6 and so on... Then line up the bezel with the hour hand for the second time zone - simple!

Watch-CollectorSweeeeeeet, just do some math and you've got it! Man, thanks, I never thought of that. You could, like, write out the algebraic equation and tape it to the strap in case you forget. X=Yx2/10 where X=time at 2nd time zone, and Y = the number on the bezel. I don't know why I didn't think of that myself!

Glen8You got it! I’d rather have a bezel that can track hours or minutes rather than the M. Tissot watch you mentioned. After all, its a Combat Sub! A military watch! There’s a reason why the SAS have a Submariner (so they too can track hrs/minutes). Therefore, the ‘soda colouring’ makes perfect sense!

Watch-CollectorCan you please explain how "soda" colours can be used? I don't see any function of that apart from making the watch look good.

TomaszKlYou use the blue / red as 30min counters instead of using the numerals on the bezel.

Watch-CollectorI didn't know this until recently, GMT colours are to signifiy night and day, it's not entirely a design feature it's has some practical use. Putting the GMT colours in a dive bezel is a bit silly. Your solution to using this as a 12 hour multi time zone is quite hacky. If you really wanted to, you could just know the timing difference between your location and your home destination and just add/subtract the hours. It's not a neat way of tracking time. the dial has to be obvious and clear, that's why pilots watches are big and legible and clutter free. You shouldn't have to do calculations to get the time, because you might miscalcuate that one time and get things wrong. x.20 /5 are easy calculations that you shoudln't get wrong under most circumstance. But in a high pressure/stress situation where you're just glancing at your watch and not thinking about what you're seeing, you can easily miscalcute. Here in the UK we use the 24hr clock a lot. On google, shop opening times are often in 24hr format. I can't explain to you the number of times when I misread 20:00 to be 10pm and not 8pm. I can -12 easily, but when you're under pressure and short of time you can make oversights light this.

TigerUKRolex GMT pepsi colours were applied due to business agreement with Panam airlines (they used red/blue quite often in their airplanes design). Day/night feature was discovered by users :)

TomaszKlIs this your assumption or something glycine have said? The ad makes no mention of pan am. Are these Pan am rejects that they marketing as soda models?

TigerUKRolex not glycine. They made first gmt pepsi that became so popular. Everyone is talking about great day/night bezel where in fact rolex had no clue about it and it was all about the money.
