Are the bottoms flat, as in using the auto dishwasher, does water collect on the bottom of the washed glass if dimpled.. Or, are the bottoms dry after washing?

ghbrianThey have a very small raised edge on the bottom but I haven’t noticed any significant water collection coming out of the dishwasher.
Wonderful glasses.

How well do these stack?

Only guessing based on the shape and thickness, but probably not real well--meaning you might get them to stack 2-high, but unlikely to be very stable after 3-high.

RayFThey’re stable when stacked, but don’t nest far into one another. In my cupboard, I stack 2 of the largest, 3 of the medium, and 5 of the smallest. I’ve had one set for almost 15 years while my kids were young and accident prone and they’ve held up. They’re amazing glasses.

These are fantastic glasses. Shaped so comfortably for the hand, and extremely durable.
I used to pick these up at my local thrift store whenever I would see them. And then I purchased a small set to round out my collection. They have replaced all the other drinking glasses I used to have, and I'm happy for it.
Fantastic drinking glasses. Highly recommended.

Where does Massdrop get the crossed out price/MSRP from? This exact glass set is $55.99 at target, which is what this ends up costing from Massdrop after shipping - https://www.target.com/p/duralex-picardie-glasses-18-piece-set/-/A-50689463
mechenginic0The MSRP is set by Duralex. We can't list the lowest competitive price for items we are selling because it changes all the time, whereas MSRP remains constant. With almost every product that is not direct to consumer you will have a MAP(minimum advertised price) and an MSRP(manufacturers suggested retail price). Those two prices act as the floor and ceiling for sellers. The biggest reason for MSRP besides creating margin for resellers is to protect consumers from wildly inflated prices.
I am seeing these for $65 on Amazon. If you are in the US we are still $10 less expensive, not counting the $100 prime membership. We try to give you the best prices we can, and with very heavy items like this it can be a challenge.

I seriously considered this drop, but since I can get them much quicker for only ten bucks more after what shipping and handling is here from Amazon, I think I'm going that route.

Bought 2 of these 2 drops ago. No regrets. They arrived intact and have become my family’s go-to. I know if I have to replace for breakage in the future, they should still be available.

I was a Picardie fetishist for many, many years. I had all the rare ones, the really big one, the blue glass ones, the horrible translucent white and black ones that were painted so the paint scraped off, and so on. I still have and love the tiny 1-ounce shot glass sized mini Picardies. Massdrop should do an oddball Picardie drop with rare stuff like this.
I've moved on to Luminarc Working glasses: builds my muscles.

My parents have had a set of these as their go-to glasses for 30+ years (longer than I've been alive) and maybe 3 have ever broken across the decades.

I own a set of Duralex tumblers and loved them so much I purchased another set in a different style. These are EXTREMELY durable and well made in France. The price is amazing.....shipping to Canada??? Not so much.

rayce444The price isn't even that good with the american shipping rates. Lee valley (a canadian retailer) carries the 24 set which has the addition of a set of 5.4oz shot glasses for $70 CAD, everyday price with free shipping at the moment (ending tomorrow) and the option of physical stores. That's the same as if you used the american shipping rate of $15, which brings it up to $55 usd, which converts to $70 CAD for six fewer glasses. And that's all in the hypothetical that you were paying american shipping rates
And lee valley isn't even a discount store, they generally carry mostly higher end products (mostly geared towards woodworking, but also some home/kitchen/garden stuff)
