TL;DR Disliked the DT770's before, love them with these pads. More V-shaped sound, slightly toned down treble and mids, stock bass response but elevated in amount. Sewing is a little uneven, only a problem aesthetically.
Excuse my grammar in advance, i'm swedish.
I bought my DT770's about two years ago when a lot of people on various forums etc said they were awesome due to their incredible sub-bass and i needed a closed back for desktop use, i didn't like them much and they've been on a shelf a lot since then.
I watched Zeos's Beyerdynamic pad swap video, saw the midnight pads here on Drop and thought "why not?" These pads made the DT770's so much more enjoyable for me. The midnight pads toned the signature Beyerdynamic sibilance down ever so slightly, mids also got tuned down a bit and the bass response is pretty much like with stock pads but turned up in amount. In general i feel like these pads made them more V-shaped even though treble got toned down.
Babylon Sisters by Steely Dan and that kind of music in general sounds fantastic now with these pads. If you own DT770s and like that kind of music, get the midnight pads.
I've been using these cans non-stop since i swapped the pads so i guess that's a testament to how good of a purchase this was. I highly approve of these pads.
