I have a normal, staggered keyboard from Monoprice that uses Blues. I liked the feel, but the click was way too loud for an office environment.
I have 2 TECK keyboards and they have Browns. I liked the feel of them when I was using them regularly.
I have 2 ErgoDoxen (a fullhand in the office, and a classic at home) and they have Clears. I prefer the feel of Clears over the Browns.
I find the Browns to be too light, and I end up bottoming out quite often -- I did this regularly when I was using the TECKs regularly. They ended up being almost as loud as the Blues due to bottoming out on the metal plate. I like the feel of the Clears because they are stiffer and I don't bottom out very much. I haven't lubed them. I did not swap the springs. I did not put any O-rings on the SA profile keycaps.
I could see myself swapping in some Brown stems/springs on the outer 1u and 1.5u keys, just to give my pinkies a bit less work to do, but I'm in no rush to do so.
nomadedHaha I did this with a sampler set I had. Made my space a blue, and added the black, brown and red springs to some outer ones. I think I put the brown post somewhere as well.
