Moonsand1Hah! This is exactly what I was thinking as soon as I saw this blade. 🤣 I could see myself stumbling across this in my deceased Granddads effects. It would be in a desk drawer, have a polished plain blade, and he would have picked it up in Germany in the late 40’s or early 50’s.

Moonsand1This is for today's grandpa pimp. Not your grandpa's grandpa pimp. Powder metallurgy, ironwood handle, too nice for clip even for that "deep-deep" carry!

Could we please have less knives, and more actually useful real ultralite hiking & camping gear? What has happened to Drop? Knife after knife after knife after knife after knife - one is quite enough thanks, and they don't even ship internationally. Can we please return to gear that is actually relevant to ultralite? Zpacks, HMG, MLD, Evernew, ... Packs, stoves, quilts, headlamps, parkas, ...

A novel concept but people can't buy what MD isn't selling. For instance MD doesn't sell LSD, Cocaine, or Ecstasy--but if they did, they most certainly would ;- )

The lack of relevant specs on a knife selling for this price is laughable. Will drop ever learn or continue to just do as they please customers be damned? Also, adding blades to all this other stuff (ALL of which I have NO interest) is really irritating and has made my perusing of this site much less desirable and odds of buying anything nearly non-existent . Bring back the Blades community, separate of the other stuff. Or don't, and watch more and more people lose interest as you post knives with nearly no relevant specs and/or necessary pictures to make any real decision to buy with confidence here.

Kingdimofkush81And without pocket clips, corkscrews, hedge trimmers, and nine-irons! Seriously--don't they have any clue as to who their customers are?

How does that make his comment any less relevant to customers in America? Besides, Amazon ships internationally. This knife in particular is only offered via third party sellers so it's a bit different, but it's $190 + $10 shipping to Canada on amazon.com. Less of a deal over all, but cheaper shipping (If your $18 quote was in USD anyway).

FulluphighHow does that make his comment any less relevant to customers in America? I'm not sure I understand this comment. What I meant to convey was, a lot of the USA based online shops don't even ship to Canada. When they do, it's with outrageous costs. Amazon.com does not ship most of its products to Canada at all; indeed, third party sellers often do ship to Canada out of Amazon.com, but with even more outrageous costs (I even recently saw a $121 shipping quote, I don't even remember what it was for - probably some clerical mistake, but still). So the gist of what I mean is: Drop ships many of these products to non-USA buyers, with very reasonable costs (most of the time). Even if some products are a few bucks more compared to specialized American e-commerce sites, it's still a great deal for non-USA customers (caveat: returns are a hassle, however). American buyers have to understand that Drop can potentially do a lot of foreign sales even with slightly higher prices; and American buyers have to stop complaining about said prices - global commerce is not all centered on American buyers.

Normally, gold-plated accents are not my thing, but this is so different and unique from anything in my collection, I'm tempted to bite. Someone, PLEASE talk me out of it.

If it had a bit more consistent colour scheme I'd love it. The black, satin grey, gold and reddish brown of the wood just clash to my eyes. Totally agree on subjective beauty.

They are embarrassed about the clip. It cost their team a touchdown. And the game. The corkscrew was left in the champaign bottle after an early insertion. They were working on the hedge fund with the hedge trimmer and the SEC got wind of it. Lastly, the nine iron had rusted.

ecolemanWell I certainly can't disagree with you. It's definitely flashy. That said, I think Damascus is pretty flashy in and of itself, so I'm on board. 😄

(MSR)P on www.fallkniven.com of this knife is 2631 SEK...which against current rate translates into $310,68 (or €278,27 in my part of the world). BTW, the standard P3G is listed there for 2636 SEK... I've been using (and abusing) a P3G for many years now, and it has held up far better than any other folder with N690, VG10 or S35VN, with the M390's being close. Never had a knife with gold on it:-) But it's on order now:/)

Super gold powdered steel - SG2 never really heard much about this after it's announcement short of Spyderco I think doing a limited run and Kershaw or Ken Onion and there was a Bradford guardian . Never really heard any complete reviews on it . Does anybody remember it, I think it got buried when powdered s30 came out.

RudolphSG2 is one of the best stainless steels in use today on Kitchen knives. Very good edge retention and it can be made to take an incredibly sharp edge. Relatively easy to sharpen too. The more expensive Shuns, Zwilling Miyabis and Zwilling Kramers use SG2. The more exotic and expensive powdered metals also being used by Japanese kitchen knife makers are ZDP-189 and HAP40.

RudolphHonestly, it turned out to be a much better steel than I expected. It's cutting prowess, edge retention and lack of staining over months of hard work has made me think of it as a go-to knife if I have a relatively heavy duty job (i.e. not batttoning...it's not D2)
