Final Audio Design Sonorous IV Headphones

With a hybrid design that merges a balanced armature with a 50-millimeter dynamic driver, the Sonorous IV closed-back headphones deliver Final Audio’s signature vast soundstage and clarity. Meanwhile, the BAM mechanism balances air pressure at the front and rear of the diaphragm for a three-dimensional sound with depth and low tones.

Developed especially for the Sonorous Series, the dynamic driver’s parts were made with increased precision in order to narrow the gap in the magnetic circuit, the pole piece, and the yoke. When coupled with a powerful neodymium magnet for high magnetic flux density, the result is amazingly clear sound.

The driver unit has a stainless steel housing, and features a 1.5-millimeter aluminum back plate that helps balance air pressure while suppressing unwanted vibrations. Rounding out the sturdy ABS construction, the ear pads—made with synthetic leather—create a tight seal to prevent leakage without sacrificing comfort and breathability. The detachable 5-foot cable terminates in a gold-plated monaural 3.5-millimeter plug.
