In 2012, Gustard released the very successful DAC-X10 that packed an incredible amount of technology in one black box. Two years later and after taking into account much consumer feedback, Gustard released the DAC-X12, which packs more of the same goodness and functionality at a very competitive price.
Note: At check-out, you'll have your choice of a 110 V or 220V power supply.
Armed with the ES9018, Gustard's implementation of the chip is fantastic and provides a natural and refined experience without the typical shrillness associated with Sabre products. Inside the X12, you'll find a 8 mono to 2 stereo configuration with four D/A converters per channel.
The Gustard DAC-X12 offers incredible flexibility for all of your needs. USB XMOS program runs 32/384kHz and DSD128, so you'll never run into file compatibility issues. Implemented with CPLD logic devices, the X12 allows for volume attenuation from 0 to -99 dB. Coaxial, Optical, AES/EBU and I2S are all digitial inputs, whereas you have the choice between RCA and XLR analog outputs.
