Helm Bolt DAC/Amp
Very small footprint, easily attaches to my Samsung galaxy phone with USB-C connector with no other changers or dongles needed. The sound is amazing for the size and convenience of this product. I don't always listen to MQA audio but this does allow you that option. Excellent product for my personal use!

Radar1611MQA has nothing at all to do with a cable. It is a music format that "claims" to be better with no proof.

Good customer service
I'm sending this out now because I wanted some time to test and see how well my DAC worked. Well at least the second DAC. Works wonderfully with great sound quality.
I have to commend Helm for their customer service. The first DAC I received worked well for a few weeks but then began to heat up and reach high tempatures if left plugged in too long, becoming almost uncomfortably hot to the touch. Furthermore at this stage sound would cut out or become garbled. So I contacted Helm support with my issue and they sent out a new DAC. Every company has their share of manufacturing defects, but Helm replaced mine with freindly and quick customer service.
I have noticed a small issue that the right channel will cut out for some reason at times. I've encountered this issue on both DACs, and it persists after updating firmware. It however only occures on average once every few days and can be easilly fixed by unplugging/replugging the DAC. As this DAC is designed for laptop/phone use it probably will be unplugged regularly enough that most users may never encounter this problem.

Wrong item, then got a broken product
Ordered this Janurary 2023. Received headphones instead of a dac/amp. Looks like the fulfillment came from helm? Contacted Drop support which was great and they said a number of people got the wrong thing. When I received the correct item, it wouldn't work. Tested on 4 usb ports on 2 computers and an iphone. Would not recommend.

not a huge difference because the headphones I use (meze 99 noir) don't need any amplification or anything, but I noticed when switching between having it plugged in or not. not an audiophile or expert or anything, but I like it. good price too.

Received mine today...a big disappointment in one way....basically unusable to me for now
Received mine in the mail this AM. I plugged the Bolt into a USB-C to Lighning adapter, plugged headphones into that, and into iPhone Xs....No love on headphones. Plugged headphones into a simple Lighting to USB-C headphone adapter, and music....It isn't until you delve into the online User manual that you are told you need the Apple iPhone to Camera adapter to go between the Bolt and the iPhone. I have a message into Helm about this issue. I want to know if there is a simple USB-C to Lightning adapter that will work or if I am doing something wrong. I don't want to have to buy another damn Apple adapter...stupid expense....and pretty disappointing of both DROP and Helm to not make this more apparent in their descriptions since I am guessing 50%+ of their customers are Apple users.... DROP and Helm, please correct me if I am wrong here....

No helm is the problem; include the additional lightening cable so we don’t have to buy another adapter and have a extra 6”+\- cable hanging.
