psyneUrban Outfitters current sale price has no relationship to the actual cost of goods in this situation. A large retailer like UO is big enough to reduce inventory of 3 units, even if it is at a significant loss to them.
KateKoeppelDesignApologies for the misunderstanding - I wasn't commenting on value, simply stating that there was a better price for the same item elsewhere.
These are really nice, and I do have a set on the way. It's quite common for price comparisons to be posted here. In the end, this is a consumer driven site.
Hey everyone,
I'm the designer of these products. I started this collection in 2013 because there wasn't anything on the market for organizing our home vinyl collection that was well made and had the aesthetic value we wanted to highlight in our home. Our collection is in our living room, and I wanted to design something that would be beautiful and make it easier to find albums, and allow us to spend more time listening and enjoying the music we've collected.
Since the beginning, it has been very important to me to create products that will last-- this isn't something you need to replace or update. We are a very small team, and we work very hard to create a quality, handcrafted product. All of our products are made locally, with a high grade European birch wood. We keep a small inventory because our products are time and labor intensive to produce. I absolutely understand, these products are not right for every collector. The pleasure of collecting is personal and different for everyone!
Hi all,
I've asked Kate, the designer of this product, to stop by and answer some questions. However, based on the route this discussion has taken so far I'm asking that you please be respectful regardless of how you personally feel about this drop.
I will step in to moderate comments that are inappropriate although I would prefer not to.
Thanks everyone.
