GoAndDoNo coupon, Amazon just raises pricing periodically. I was lucky and did get the flashlight bundle for $58.
Beautiful light, but the UI kind of sucks. The strobe mode is in the main sequence, you must loosen the head to be able to go through the light level sequences. When the head in on tight it is turbo mode only. :(
I would buy, but not without knowing colour temperature, let alone tint. Neutral anyone? These things always seem to go with cool blue 6000K because it looks like the most lumens on paper.
KoopaJudging from descriptions of the standard version of this light from other sites, it appears to be a cool white tint. This model on MD has a special "retro" finish on the body vs the original anodized dark grey, but I don't imagine that the colour temp is different. A reviewer described the tint with a "very pure-white hot-spot with a little bit of cool white tint in the spill" (https://www.reddit.com/r/flashlight/comments/32dz9g/jetbeam_3m_pro_review_giveaway/).
silverdotmeNo battery, but you can easily purchase 18650 batteries at Orbtronic.com.
This is one of the best flashlights currently out there. I own one and have ordered many for other colleagues, all with the same positive experience. You just can't go wrong with Jetbeam.
Light arrived, but I cannot figure out how to get it onto high beam. When I turn it on, it momentarily goes to the high beam, but then drops back to mid beam. Any ideas please?
Cheers

robsonjI found this on candlepowerforums dot com
With the head fully tightened, activation yields Turbo only.
For general mode, starting with the head slightly loosened, click on to activate High output. Soft-press to advance to Med. -> Low -> Ultra Low -> Strobe in sequence.
If you turn the light off-on within 1 second, you will advance to the next output (i.e., acts as a soft-press). If you wait longer than that, you will return to the last output level used. The light has mode memory (even after a battery change).
I'll jump on this when its $10 bucks less w/a battery. They are known for good quality but we all understand where they are made and the law of supply and demand will soon dictate a better drop before long.
I got this off amazon. My first impressions out of the box is that it was not comfortable in the hand. There are only 2 ways to hold it with your thumb on the button because of the stand that is flush with the button on the back. You can only use ultra when the flash light head is twisted as tight all the way and you can not access the strobe or lower output options unless you loosen the head of the light . This light is horribly designed. Why would I want to loosen the head and risk it falling off to change the modes? There is no short cut to access the strobe mode. You have to cycle through all the high medium low modes to get to strobe. The functionality is junk, do not buy. BUYER BEWARE.
