Most digital-to-analog converters get the job done with solid state systems, but nothing sounds like the richness put out by a vacuum tube amplifier. The FX III includes dual 12AX7 vacuum tubes that turn digital blips into luscious tones, and both vacuums are easily replaced should you have any hardware issues. Finishing the conversion, an asynchronous Burr Brown Chip AD1896 optimizes every file for the best possible playback, pumping out sharp highs, clear mids, and a thick bass.
Follow the Lida
Whereas some tube DACs play the old bait and switch by running your audio through an OP amp, the FX III runs entirely through the tubes for excellent audio at all times. To hook up your system, simply plug in through the USB, Tos-Link, or S/PDIF inputs and stream out through the RCA or headphone outputs. Featuring solid metal construction, blue LED backlights for style, a glass viewing window to see your tubes in action, and volume and input controls on the front panel, the JoLida Tube DAC FX III makes your tunes sound positively tubular.
